Car was driving very wobbly. Made appointment to have wobble in car checked out. Upon arrival was told they were running 1 day behind and I would need to leave my car for 2 days. Made appointment to have wobble in car checked out. Upon arrival was told they were running 1 day behind and I would need to leave my car for 2 days. I was not prepared for that, and not forwarned before bringing my car in. My service advisor said they could balance the tires and see if that was the problem but that’s all they could do at the moment. I agreed to the service. Tires were balanced but wobble was worse. I went to another car repair business to get the wobble checked out. Immediately they found that one of my tires had split. The tire was replaced and the wobble disappeared. This was a potentially very dangerous defect in the tire. How did the Shottenkirk mechanics NOT notice this immediately while they balanced the tires??? I’m very disappointed in them for blatantly missing this problem with the tire and not even taking time to discover the problem. More
