If this dealership is the state of the business in the car business, then we need to band together and start reporting these deceptive business practices. Here's this story, see truck advertised for $41, car business, then we need to band together and start reporting these deceptive business practices. Here's this story, see truck advertised for $41,500 one day, then the next day, $40,500. OK, let's make an inquiry. Understand, this price is "click bait", and they have no intention to sell you that truck for $40,500. In fact, if you roll up with that amount in cash (plus TTL), you will not drive off the lot in that truck. Here's how they do it, they force you to purchase a "Total VIP Care" (entitlements in pic below) for $1,495 then have it show up on the Retail Purchase Agreement as "Shottenkirk Customer Care" where you then get to pay State sales tax of 6.25% on this as well. If you demand they remove this line item, they will, however then the price of the truck goes up by $1,495. What is this really? Straight margin for the dealership. Now, this "insurance policy" comes with no documentation, and lasts 12 months or 15,000 miles. They point you to the desk placard if you question the entitlements of the "insurance" policy, but on new or slightly used vehicles, why do you need any of this when the remaining OEM factory warranty covers most of what they have listed? Then start asking questions about this VIP "insurance policy", they are as clueless as James our salesperson. He literally said, "I'll have to look into that" when asked what type of paint protection is this? or how do I file a claim if I have a cracked windshield? You know why he couldn't answer? It's because this is vapor, doesn't exist. Again, this is a scam, and frankly they are a scam, and intend to report this to the Better Business Bureau, I'm sure I won't be the only complaint regarding this group of dealers, but now you know - please don't drive to Granbury to get a "good deal". The only good deals are the ones that this dealership finds patsy's to pay these completely nonvalue-added fees so they can pad their pockets. Shame on them, horrible human beings. More
There’s no reason to have someone sign a cancelation application for extended warranty when they declined extended warranty and gap. Not only did we say no 5 times but we still were financed with the ex application for extended warranty when they declined extended warranty and gap. Not only did we say no 5 times but we still were financed with the extra charges of extended warranty. Regardless that I get my money back. I still financed an additional 5k that I did not want to begin with making my monthly payments higher. Thanks a lot for the major inconvenience. More
