Our family has purchased 2 vehicles from Schottenkirk, and has continued to use their service dept for routine oil changes, etc for the past few years. We have been customers with them as it has grown from a small dealership into a large one; however, the people who work at Schottenkirk have kept that small dealership feel. I know that Jim & Scott will help me in the service department, and that Dave & Yodi will work with me to find the car that I want, at a price I can afford. (Our last vehicle from Schottenkirk was well within my budget, and exceeded my "wish list" of features.) I also appreciate that although I am at the dealership every few months for an oil change/tire rotation, the sales staff will wave and say hello, but are never pushy about showing me what's new- happy to answer questions if I have them!, but never pushy. The service waiting area is also very comfortable with Internet access & a separate children's play room. More
Purchased a 2011 equinox and they took their time to explain all the features the vehicle comes with. The salesman was polite and repectful to me, being that I'm a women. Absolutely one of the best experiences buying a new vehicle we've had, and it wasn't an easy one because it was an out-of-state purchase. Staff went above and beyond to make it happen. Vehicle was bett vehicle we've had, and it wasn't an easy one because it was an out-of-state purchase. Staff went above and beyond to make it happen. Vehicle was better than advertised. Drive to the dealership from out of state was well worth it for the customer service and selection. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again. My experience was excellent. When i first entered the lot someone came to me within 5 minutes and was very friendly. This has to be the very best Dealership that I have ever used. Friendly, courteous and willing to work with the customer to get the best Deal. I would reommend this Dealership and employee's to anyone who is serious about buying a car. They listen to you and try their best to get what you want for the best price possible. I can't say enough about them, especially Yodi Ollom. My first experience at buying on line and will not be my last. Outstanding, pretty much sums it up. I went into this sale expecting the worst and wound up getting the best deal I could ask for. More
SUPER PUSHY AND HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS. THEY WILL GANG UP ON YOU IF YOU SAY NO! I went to Shottenkirk to look at an SUV they had listed on their website and trade my truck in. After waiting 3 days fo GANG UP ON YOU IF YOU SAY NO! I went to Shottenkirk to look at an SUV they had listed on their website and trade my truck in. After waiting 3 days for one of the employees to bring it back in from their house, I was able to test drive the vehicle. The price was $500 over the book value, (KBB and NADA). The check engine light was on, the ABS light was on, 2 of the windows didn't work, the seat heater didn't work, the sunroof didn't slide, one of the speakers was blown, the rear main seal and rear end gasket were both leaking, when it shifted it shimmied and shook the whole truck and it ran horribly. Suffice to say, it was in poor shape. They appraised my truck while we drove around. The salesman assured me that they would fix all of the problems to earn my business. They appraised my truck at half of the blue book value for trade-in ($6000 when trade in was $12,500). My truck is super clean, low miles and runs better than brand new. My truck was worth more and they wouldn't even trade straight accross unless I agreed to fix all the issues myself. When I spoke to the "sales manager" he stated he would work on the numbers, but it was really close to where it needed to be. He stated "we gave too much money on trade for the SUV and have to recooperate the original costs". They said they would call me the next day. I did receive a call a week later from the salesman asking me if I was willing to trade straight and give them $1,000 cash too. I asked if they were going to fix the SUV problems, he stated he would have to call me back. Its been 6 weeks and no return call. More
