First new car I had ever bought was from Shottenkirk Waukee. In 2020, I tried to buy a new truck from them but decided through all the lying from the company it was not in my best interest. I was traveling through the Des Moines, Iowa area towing a fifth wheel from Denver to Vermont with my Duramax diesel Silverado. The tow vehicle was not able to charge the rig’s battery. The refrigerator therefore would not work when towing with temperatures in the nineties. I needed help. I went into Shottenkirk with no appointment and no history of purchasing any vehicle from them. A service adviser, Coltan Straker, sympathized with my predicament, allowed me to bump other customers, had my truck inspected, replaced the fuse, and allowed my trek to continue. I feel that was far beyond what I expected, it showed compassion. I would strongly recommend this dealership and suggest using Coltan’s name when purchasing a new Chevrolet. More
