Unethical Purchased a pre-owned vehicle to be registered out of state - drove home on a temporary tag. Shortly thereafter the dealership mailed me a title with the previous owners name and address still listed on the title. Much to my surprise, they also sent me a document containing the previous owners DATE OF BIRTH & SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. Shortly after mailing this CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION back to the address listed on the title I received a telephone call from the dealership advising that I should not have contacted the previous owner, that I should contact the dealer (apparently the previous owner was less than pleased). As consumers, we often provide this type of information when purchasing a vehicle, The purpose of this review is to advise potential customers that Sherwood Groves does not protect the privacy and confidentiality of their customers. What if this information had gotten into the wrong hands? Will your information be safe? More

I originally pur After recently experiencing an auto claim, I feel the need to share my great experience dealing with Sherwood Groves in Towanda, PA. I originally purchased my 2012 GMC Sierra from them and just LOVE this truck. The salesman was great and didn’t push. I had several options and found the perfect one. They worked with me and even threw in an automatic starter that I wanted desperately! Since then, I have not had one problem with this truck until a deer decided to get close with it. At this time the truck had to have body and mechanical work so back to Sherwood Groves it went. All I can say is WOW with their customer service, mechanics, and body shop! (in addition to their sales department). When I dropped the truck off, the owner even said she’d drive it around from the back for me all on a Saturday no less! The body shop worked with my rental company to coordinate usage. The process went so smooth that I didn’t mind missing my truck for this time. Best deal in town! No contest! Where do I start? Back in 2009, I never thought I'd be able to afford to buy a truck from an actual dealership, but I thought, what the heck, I'd give Where do I start? Back in 2009, I never thought I'd be able to afford to buy a truck from an actual dealership, but I thought, what the heck, I'd give it a shot. I pulled into Sherwood Groves and spoke with one of their fantastic salesmen, and was treated like a person, not a "sale." We went over many options on a vehicle that was right for me, and my budget, and they never tried to force me to buy more, or steer me away from what I could afford. About two months after buying my used truck there, my alternator died. I called up Sherwood Groves, and explained what had happened to the service department. They asked how long ago I had bought the vehicle, and I told them. Even though I was out of warranty, they stated that if I brought the vehicle in to them, they would split the cost of the alternator, and waive the installation fee. Even though they did not have to do this, they made me a lifelong customer. Fast forward to this past Friday, 4/10/15. I came in to the dealership to trade in that same truck on something newer. I told my salesman, Chris Case, just what I could afford, and he showed me what there was out there. I was fighting myself on this purchase, just because I did not want to have a payment on a truck again, but it was a necessary purchase as my old truck was just getting too old. Chris never pressured me into making a decision, nor did any of the other members of Sherwood Groves. In fact, they suggested that I sleep on it, and come back in the morning to discuss more options, even to look at other vehicles to start all over. They could see that I was not happy with what I thought was the only vehicle I could afford. With a fresh start the following day, Chris and I went over several other choices of vehicle that were in my price range, and Avery Snell worked the numbers to find out which deal would fit my budget perfectly. I am a completely satisfied customer in every regard! I will always come back to Sherwood Groves, because start to finish, they are the BEST dealership in town! More
