I hesitated about traveling 41 miles to meet yet "another sales guy" to get an estimate on my accessible van that we used to transport my daughter in. I truly enjoyed my visit to Sherman Dodge yesterday! I've never said that about any other car dealer. Angelo was excellent. Each time he passed thru the waiting area, he had a genuine (not a sales-guy) smile and very informative about what was going on. By the time I left, I truly trusted him! I've already told several friends about the dealership (even though it's 40 miles away from where I live). Everyone agreed you do business right even when a sale is not involved! I Had a terrible experience with the Sherman dealership in Skokie. It's truly disappointing that I had such a terrible time dealing with them. It's unacceptable that a vehicle I purchased a year and a half in Skokie. It's truly disappointing that I had such a terrible time dealing with them. It's unacceptable that a vehicle I purchased a year and a half ago from them has been giving me so many problems and has required multiple repairs in such a short period of time. The fact that the dealership returned my vehicle in worse condition than when I brought it is completely inexcusable. It's even more outrageous that they expect me to foot the bill for the additional damages when the car is supposed to be covered by a 3-year warranty. This kind of behavior is not only dishonest but also a clear betrayal of their responsibility to provide you with a reliable and safe vehicle. It's clear from my experience that this dealership cannot be trusted, and it's deeply concerning that they have been so negligent and unprofessional in handling my concerns. Customers should be able to rely on dealerships to provide them with quality products and stand behind their warranties, but it seems that Sherman dealership in Skokie has failed to do so in my case. It's essential that potential customers are aware of my experience and steer clear of this dealership to avoid falling victim to their deceitful and unethical business practices. The encounter I had with the Sherman Dodge dealership is one of the worse experience I had in my life. Starting from the manager to the self identified owner of this dealership, these people have no clue of one of the worse experience I had in my life. Starting from the manager to the self identified owner of this dealership, these people have no clue of what fair business practices are or how to treat customers with dignity and respect. On July 18, 2023, I towed my vehicle, 2022 Jeep Compass, to the Sherman Dodge dealership for a diagnosis related to identifying the reason why the vehicle would not start and fix the issue. On July 19, I went to the dealership and I was told that the mechanic was not able to identify what the problem with the vehicle was and that I had to tow the vehicle to another shop but not before paying $639.92. When I asked the manager why I should pay $639.92 if the problem to my car was never found and they were not able to give a diagnose or fix my car, the response that I received was that: “even if we can’t find or fix the problem we tried and because of that you have to pay the amount of $639.92 or you will not have the car back.” The dealership at the moment is unlawfully holding my property and refuses to return it and I am talking legal measures to get back my property. I highly recommend you to find another dealership if you have any issues with your vehicle in order to avoid the possibility of being treated inhumanely, humiliated, and talking advantage of. More
