They were extremely busy but they did not rush me and fit me in.They explained everything they were going to check and assured me that they call would call me with price and ask before performing any work. They did everything they said and I felt they cared about my car and business. my experience was positive and I will definately be back. I felt the pricing was appropriate for the work required. More
Joe Perone and Sam Hamden are crooks. They promised to get me a 2nd key for my 2009 Journey and a owners manual. Now they tell me I have to pay for it. Worst car dealer ever. They have friendly personable Worst car dealer ever. They have friendly personable salesman, but thats about the only good thing I have to say about them. They sold me a Worst car dealer ever. They have friendly personable salesman, but thats about the only good thing I have to say about them. They sold me a used car, a 2000 Saab 9-5. They didn't know anything about the car (the salesman assured me the car was naturally aspirated, after I shared concerns over the reliability of a car with a turbo on it... turns out he lied, the car is a turbo). They said it was a one owner car that had been serviced regularly, and was in good shape. I have spent as much money fixing the car as I did buying it. I have owned the car for 4 months and this is all the work I have had to get done: new coolant hoses new ENGINE (yes a whole new friggin engine) new front and rear brakes new tires new front axle new front sway bar links new radiator new belts new AC compressor Oh, and all of this should be covered under warranty right?? WRONG... they claim that only certain parts of the power train are covered under the power train warranty. When I first brought the car in, because it was having issues with the cooling system... they ignored it, and told me the car was fine... even though the coolant pump had failed... which caused me to have to get a whole new engine (they always fail to catch problems before it is too late... and the repair becomes a costly one). When the engine that came in the car failed... they claimed that the failure was caused by a coolant pump... which surprise surprise isn't covered under warranty. These guys are the WORST. Don't buy a thing from them. More

When shopping for my brand new Dodge I had the opportunity to visit several Dodge retailers. Needless to say, I have gained a whole new appreciation for the variety in service and atmosphere at t opportunity to visit several Dodge retailers. Needless to say, I have gained a whole new appreciation for the variety in service and atmosphere at the dealers that I had visited. Due to my shopping around you may find that I have posted comments about several other dealers listed on this website. Sherman Dodge is the prototypical car dealer with its cheesy sales gimmicks and the presence of some dubious carsalespeople. To start off, I have not made use of the used car department at this dealer. The finance department is less than friendly, and the floor manager with whom I dealt was belligerent at best and hostile at worst. This can be a high pressure store if you do not readily commit to buy once the dealer makes an offer. Though I would not deal with the majority of the carsalespeople here due to their lack of professionalism there are a couple of salespeople who are decent. In all fairness my carsalesman, Jack Doherty, was clearly the exception to the rule in this dealer with his patience, tact, and knowledge. Because of a specific car I wanted I had contacted this dealer through the internet, and they did have sense enough to pair me up with a decent person like Mr. Doherty. The internet sales department here is fairly well-developed, and they did get back to me right away. The only other good thing I would say about this dealer is that it does have a surprisingly large inventory, and I would never have used Sherman if it were not for the fact that it had the car I wanted in stock. I would not recommend walking into this dealer because many of the carsalespeople they have roaming the lot can be scary, at best. If you must use this dealer, using the internet would be a better bet as you probably have a better chance of be paired up with someone who is knowledgeable. I have to be fair to the floor manager Armondo in the sense that he did give me a reasonable price for the car. While he is an unpleasant person, I believe that he will ultimately give a decent price if he knows you are a serious buyer. As mentioned earlier, the finance department at this dealer is not very friendly, and it requires a stiff upper lip to deal with employees in this area. The only two reasons why I purchased a vehicle here is because they had what I wanted in stock and the professionalism of Mr. Doherty. Despite customer service in some areas at this dealer leaving much to be desired other areas seem to be average. If you absolutely must shop here, then Jack Doherty is your best bet. However, be prepared for the difficult floor manager and the equally unpleasant finance department. Despite the negative things I have mentioned about this dealer, the main reason why I recommend it is the sales staff can be flexible if you demonstrate that you are a serious buyer and that you have good credit. As with any dealer you should do your research ahead of time and look at multiple sources. In terms of the service department, I have used it once, and the service advisor seemed friendly. The dealer installed an alarm on my car, and it appears everything was done correctly. However, I have had only one experience with the service department. In closing, while customer service at this dealer is not very good, especially in finance, it does have a decent inventory of Dodges and some good salespeople. Finally, the prices here are pretty competitive somewhat making up for the negative aspects. More
Be careful buying a Pre-Owned auto here. Pay attention to all the details. These people do not care about issues even the ones they masked by deodorizer or simply broken pieces not fixed but positioned i to all the details. My wife bought our vehicle here, and walked in telling them what she wanted, and how much she would pay. That is the only good thing that went our way at Sherman dodge. A few days later we were driving I them what she wanted, and how much she would pay. That is the only good thing that went our way at Sherman dodge. A few days later we were driving I stepped hard on the brakes in an emergency situation and the vehicle stalled. We took the vehicle in for service and they would not cover a rental vehicle and said they vehicle did not do the same thing when they tested it. The next time I drove it, it did the same thing. We normally take our vehicle to Jiffy Lube to get the oil changed. And I routinely check the oil and level, and make sure everything is in order under the hood (when my wife brings it home form JL). Well about 2 months after one of our oil changes, I popped the hood to top off the washer fluid, and noticed the brake cylinder resevoir cap was loose. I took the vehicle in for service and was treated absolutely horrendously by the Service writer and Manager. I told him I was a mechanic and his reply was "yeah where are you a mechanic?". I told the service writie I had checked the cap before and then when I popped the hood this time it was just sitting loose, he got all bent out of shape and first asked where we had the oil changed last and when he heard it was Jiffy Lube, he automatically assumed it was them. When I told him I check everything after an oil change, he was extremely rude and argumentative to the point of saying it was impossible for it to just come loose. I actually had to do the Service Manager's job and tell the service writer the best way to handle the situation would have been to just say "ok, we'll take a look at it", he laughed and agreed. More
