Paul was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about each vehicle I had selected to look at. He was able to give additional information regarding the motor style and how the vehicle drives. During test dri vehicle I had selected to look at. He was able to give additional information regarding the motor style and how the vehicle drives. During test drive, he even had the manual out looking up some of the features for us. Following the test drive he was knowledgeable of the workings of the dealership and moved us through smoothly and quickly. He even saw us off after we finished up in the finance department, which was a nice. Overall Paul was absolutely awesome to do business with! More

About two weeks ago, I bought a used 2006 VW New Beetle from Shelor Select. I want to start this review off talking about the good: The whole experience up to and including the purchase was a dream. Kati was SO nice and helpful, and given that I've never financed a car before, the whole thing went so smoothly. She went out of her way to help me as liaison with the CU which financed me, and I have absolutely nothing but wonderful things to say about her. There were, throughout the process, a couple of guys she was training, and they were very pleasant as well, though unfortunately I cannot recall their names. The gentleman who sat down with me and did my paperwork and the finalization was fantastic as well. Now, for the bad: I've driven about 150 miles so far. Already, the car has problems. At almost exactly 100 miles, the check exhaust system light came on. It chugged, struggled in lower gears, and the owners manual said to get service ASAP when that light comes on. I called the dealer, but they had only one service station open at the time. The guy at the shop was very nice, but told me to take it to The Bug Shop to get it fixed, since they wouldn't be able to work on it and had nobody who could service or even troubleshoot a VW. The timing of the check exhaust light makes me wonder if they wiped the ECU before they sold me the car or something. Per his instructions, I took it to The Bug Shop. It needed an Oxygen Sensor and a Knock Sensor, which cost $422.15 (including labor). The car runs decently again. Because the car has a “warranty,” I called the dealer. The warranty should cover half of repairs within the first 15 days. I spoke with Travis at around 1:30pm on 09/06/12. He was extremely unhelpful, and at times downright rude. He said the dealer was under contract to only honor warranty repairs performed by their repair shops. He was uninterested in honoring a repair, when INSTRUCTED BY THEIR REPAIR SHOP, at a different location. I now know that their warranties and customer loyalty mean nothing and they will not support the instructions of their repair shop. And now, as I drive, I worry about what will fail next. At the end of the day, their customer service has completely failed. They sold me a car that needed $422 in repairs only 100 miles after leaving the dealership. They refused to help cover it, even when I followed the instructions of their repair shop. I dread the day something else goes wrong with the car. I don't recommend Shelor to anyone. More
From the moment my wife and I met Sue Wilburn she was very friendly, helpful,had a lot of imformation to answer all of our questions.
