Ah-mazing!!! Walked in with idea of what I wanted, gave them a price and bam! Guess who just bought a new Subaru!!! I did!!! I recently purchased a 2013 Subaru Forster Limited from Chris La Porte, and let me tell you I couldn’t be happier! He was highly attentive and knowledgeable, and responded quickly to my emails and general questions and concerns. He truly cared more about finding the Subaru that was RIGHT FOR ME and not just trying to sell me a car. Case in point, I really wanted the 2.5X Forster Limited in Dark Grey and the one that was on the lot was not in an acceptable condition. Well I was ready to move on to another dealer in Dulles, when Chris asked me to come inside, give him five min and let’s see what he could do; and let me tell you I’m so glad that I did! We built my Subaru together with the features that I wanted, located it and she was on the Sheehy Lot the next day. When I went back the next day to inspect the car and take it for a test drive, it was a night and day difference to the other car and Chris had kept his promise to deliver they quality car that I wanted. In short, If you’re looking for a new car and need a trustworthy dealer who will deliver the car of your dreams to you- Chris La Porte is your guy! Chris answered the call and said come on down, you are probably in a rental and need to get her something that is hers, pick one out we'll get everything together.... Well I was skeptical and called some other dealers, they all wanted to know what vin number I was looking for, what option package did I want, questions I did not know the answers to. My wife (Kris) looked at some cars/suvs test drove two, decided on one, we walked around the shop, new ones were in back, found the color we liked. Chris not only made buying the car easy, financing it easy, but it came with real tags and everything - nice. We won't be in our house again for 9-10 months, but when we are bumming, we get in Moms New car, drive around and smile. It was truly the best car buying experience ever. It was not a big thing for Chris, we heard from others that he was like that, but it made a big difference to us. This was by far the very best car buying experience I’ve ever had. (This was the 6th new car I’ve purchased) I actually had a good time during the whole experience and left with a huge smile on my face. A ever had. And this is why: My wife and I decided to give Sheehy Subaru a visit because we had a positive experience with Sheehy Ford. Before we left we were undecided on whether or not we were going to buy a Subaru. We loaded up the kids and set off to go look at the Outback. Before we left I gave the dealership a call and Chris La Porte answered the phone and was very helpful with my questions. When we got to the dealership it was cold and windy. Chris met us and showed us a few vehicles and immediately let us test drive a vehicle so we could see if we like it. I don’t think I was there for 10 minutes before we were off on a test drive. We fell in love with the Outback and Chris helped us pick out the exact Outback we (I) wanted. Now this is the part where Sheehy Subaru and Chris La Porte separate themselves from the pack. We had a 6 year old and a 3 year old with us. Chris our salesman worked extremely fast giving us a great deal on the Outback we picked out (which I verified on Truecar.com). He knew we wanted a DVD player in the vehicle so he gave us a great price on an aftermarket unit. After the deal was agreed upon, (and again, the most pleasant negotiation I’ve been a part of) we moved over to their finance person. She (sorry I don’t remember her name) was the nicest person and understood when I told her I didn’t want any undercoating or stuff like that. In addition, she worked out an even better financing deal then we thought we would get. Even after the sale, I’ve called Chris several times with questions and he has been extremely helpful and seems genuinely excited about us joining the Subaru family. In conclusion, everyone involved worked very fast and were extremely friendly with us the entire time. Our kids were fine the whole time. I would buy from and recommend Sheehy Subaru and Chris La Porte a million times over. I can honestly say I can’t think of one negative thing to say about the entire experience. More
I had a very good experience buying a new 2013 Outback from Chris La Porte and Brandon Stanhope at Sheehy Subaru of Springfield. I usually dread car shopping because of all the vultures at car dealership from Chris La Porte and Brandon Stanhope at Sheehy Subaru of Springfield. I usually dread car shopping because of all the vultures at car dealerships, but this was a pleasant experience. Chris seemed like a real person not a pushy salesman and seems like a nice guy too. It took quite awhile for me to make up my mind about getting an Outback vs Forester and then which color (silly Subaru only offering ivory for the cloth interior for the black Outback - a car marketed for a more rugged lifestyle). My husband and I spent over a week coming back and forth frequently to the dealership for test drives and we were always met with friendly smiles by both Chris and Brandon and no pressuring just plenty of patience. Brandon worked out a decent price with me (I was armed with Internet pricing) and was very professional and friendly throughout negotiating. Even the financing guy was nice too. I was sad to say goodbye to my old Subaru Impreza, but I am very happy with my new Outback and would highly recommend both Chris and Brandon. More

I traded in a 2010 Lexus RX350 for a 2013 Outback, and am not only totally impressed and thrilled with my new "Scoobie Doo" (that's what we called them in New England), but also with how easy Chris LaPorte and Brandon Stanhope made the buying process for me. For starters- Chris's high product knowledge made it easy for me to consider the switch to a car brand I had never seriously considered until I happened to come in to the Subaru dealership because I was next door shopping Sheehy Ford. When my husband wasn't able to make it to the dealership with me to test drive, Chris let me take an Outback for as long as I needed so I could drive it to my home for my husband to drive around our neighborhood. When it came to negotiating a price, Brandon was reasonable and respectful- leaving me with the feeling that we both walked away from the deal with a win-win. Finally, they had the exact car that I wanted, so I was able to take delivery that same day- super convenient. After looking at many different car brands and dealerships, it was great to find the knowledgable, professional and non-pushy sales staff at Sheehy, and to get a great car at an awesome price. My wife and I are expecting our first child and were looking to trade in my 2008 BMW 335i for a family car. We identified several needs and wants and began comparing 17 different vehicles at local deal looking to trade in my 2008 BMW 335i for a family car. We identified several needs and wants and began comparing 17 different vehicles at local dealerships in and around the Northern Virginia Area. I initially began requesting quotes online from several dealerships to help shape my thoughts with respect to the cost of a potential car with all the options and accessories my wife and I wanted. Of all the dealerships I requested a quote from, the only one I heard back from was Chris LaPorte at Sheehy Subaru of Springfield. I cannot say exactly how many minutes passed from the time I hit enter to the time I received a phone call from Chris, but it was deffinitely under an hour. Right from the start Chris introduced himself, provided his cell phone number, and offered his services at my convenience. I really appreciated how he asked me, "to give him a chance to earn my business." His approach told me he was customer service oriented and it was not a foregone conclusion I was going to purchase a car from him; he recognized he had to earn that business. My wife and I continued our search by building a spreadsheet of all the vehicles we were interested in and began systematically eliminating ones that did not fit out criteria such as gas mileage to low, not enough passenger or cargo space, the trim required to get to specific needs/wants greatly exceeded our desired price point to the point where we knew no reasonable dealer would come down to etc. After we narrowed our search down to six vehicles, the outback was still on the list, so I gave Chris a courtesy call to let him know my wife and I were coming in to test drive a vehicle. Chris was outside waiting for us upon our arrival. I let him know up front we had no intention of committing to a specific vehicle that day because we were comparing several others. He said no problem, asked a few questions as to our wants, quickly showed us a couple vehicles that matched our criteria and offered a test drive. My wife and I looked at the Crosstrek, the Forrester, and the Outback and test drove two of them. Due to the requirement of leg room because of my height, and the need to fit the baby's carseat, we quickly identified the Outback as a great possibility. After test driving the vehicles, we spoke with Chris for a few minutes, he offered his card (though not necessary because I already had his cell phone number, offered a brochure on the outback and offered his services out our convenience. Chris was neither pushy nor overshadowing; he let the car speak for itself. My wife and I left feeling great about our experience. Over the next few days my wife and I test drove several other vehicles until we were down to two possible choices, one of which was the Outback. The second option, which I will not name, was a nice car, but it felt like a production vehicle even with all its perks. The quality just didn't seem to compare to the outback. That said, my wife and I were willing to accept that if the dealership would have offered a great deal. We gave them the opportunity to do exactly that - it took them two hours to make an offer and another 30 minutes with the finance manager to show me financing options that were far higher than anything being offered at Sheehy. I took a moment to text Chris, told him what vehicle I was looking at, the price the other dealer offered, as well as what they offered as a trade-in for my BMW; his response - I can beat that, call me. I stepped outside, gave him a call, talked a few moments, and then headed over to his dealership. I arrived, once again he was outside waiting for me next to a 2013 2.5i Premium Outback loaded with all our needs, but more importantly, our wants as well. He handed my wife the keys and said, take it out for a test drive - take as long as you would like. My wife and I did just that. We loved it! When I returned and went inside, he sat down and showed me the MSRP and wrote down an offer significantly below that, and offered a trade-in value for my BMW equal to what the previous dealership offered. The difference was less than 10K. Granted I had equity in the BMW, but his offer was more than generous. All things being equal, I contacted the other dealer I visited that morning to give them a fair chance of beating Chris' offer- they said they couldn't do it. The great part of dealings with Chris that day, I didn't deal with a Manager. He made the offer, he negotiated, he made decisions, he expedited the paperwork. From the time I returned from the test drive to the time I left for home less than two hours had passed. From start to finish, Chris was professional, never pushy, very accommodating, willing to work with the buyer to get a great deal. My wife and I ended up with a car that fits our wants and needs, at a great price, with no hassle. No other dealership I visited through this process treated me with as much respect. In the end, Chris really did earn my business. More
I have been a Sheehy Ford guy for my last three vehicles but did not care for the new look of the Escape or Explorer, but I really liked the Sheehy customer service and quality of the Ford product. I did look and talked to the Sheehy Subaru team and they have a new convert -- its a great dealership, great sales rep in Chris (no pressure or over shadowing), excellent price ($4,000 below MRSP)outstanding product in the Outback and warrenty -- it was a great experience.
