This is my first experience purchasing a vehicle from Subaru. Overall, the experience was a good one. I’ll try to keep this short. We bought a vehicle from Sheehy Subaru in November of 2023. That part of the experience was great as far as how buying a car from a dealership typica We bought a vehicle from Sheehy Subaru in November of 2023. That part of the experience was great as far as how buying a car from a dealership typically is. Everyone was extremely friendly. Three weeks later when we hadn’t received our tags from the DMV and the temps were getting close to expiring is when the shenanigans started. We were told that the DMV was behind, and they “overnighted” a new set of temp tags to us. I put that in quotes because it took 3 or 4 days for us to get our new temps. Blame it on Fed Ex, fine, no big deal. After the holidays, we started getting close to the second set of temp tags expiring. Before contacting the dealership, we checked with the DMV to ask them, in person, if they’d received any paperwork regarding the vehicle we bought. They hadn’t received anything, so clearly, the issue is not with the DMV. We contacted the dealership again and got the same run around. We’re now on our third set of temp tags. Most recently, they told us that the issue is with the bank and that they’ll “look into it” and get back to us. We haven’t heard from them since. I’ve spoken with the bank, and they have not received the perfected lien, which is issued by the DMV. The DMV issues the perfected lien within 42 days of receipt of the paperwork from the dealership. It’s been well over 42 days since the vehicle was purchased, meaning that despite all the excuses and deflections and attempts to make us believe the issue is elsewhere, the dealership is holding up the process. Now, I need to clarify, when we would call, we often had to leave messages. Those calls would go unreturned, so we’d have to keep calling until we could actually talk to someone about the issue with the tags. Most times, we got “let me check with so-and-so and get back to you” and no one would get back to us. Not a single person we’ve spoken to at that dealership has been able to give us a straight answer as to what the actual hold up is, who is responsible, and what needs to happen in order for us to get our plates. They got their money, they have no incentive to care about “customer service” anymore. More

Sheehy Subaru's service center is extremely poor. I took my car there for a safety inspection and less than 24 hours later my car was smoking due to an improperly changed oil filter. I removed the oil filter and it had a broken seal. I was left to clean my engine compartment of the leaked oil and to get a new filter. More
