I have been in the market for a new car. On Saturday, May 24 2011 I attempted to purchase a car from Lexus of Richmond. I called and spoke to Alen Stewart and told him I would like to spend about $485.00 a m 24 2011 I attempted to purchase a car from Lexus of Richmond. I called and spoke to Alen Stewart and told him I would like to spend about $485.00 a month for a black lexus e350 2007 edition that they have on their website. He told me that he could make it happen and to just come on down. I asked him before I left was he sure because I live in VA Beach and that would be 118 mile drive. He reassured me. Once I arrive I see that the car was in really bad shape. Mr. Stewart nonchalantly replies, "What do you expect it is a used car." I asked to speak to the manager and he tells me that the car had not yet even been through the body shop. Then, when we get passed that and start to crunch numbers, Mr. Stewart tells me that the best he could do would be $561.00 a month. He had me drive all that way and had flat out lied to me. First, about the condition of the car and now the price. I was heated. I asked to speak to the district manager and this is when the manager, Sean Gusti, came and offered me the payment of $485 and that car would be ready in a week. I have this in writing. When I return from sea duty on Friday September 30 he assures me that the car will be ready at 6:00 p.m. and also sends me another worksheet with the price agreement. I say wonderful and that I will be there first thing in the morning to sign on the dotted line, because its getting dark and I would like to see the car in the light. At 8:30 p.m. he has his secretary, Linda Jurey, call me and tell me that car had been sold even though we had an agreement. I was shocked and hurt. What makes the story even more worse is that I had an anonymous person call the dealership the next morning and a salesperson told them that this 2007 black es350 is still on the lot!!! Lexus of Richmond dealership has no integrity and I would recommend that every person stays away from there!!! More
Went in for a rattling noise, they fixed the noise but the very next day the service engine soon light came on. Went back the next day they tell me the catalytic converter and a sensor had gone bad. They had to figure out who was going foot the bill, even though i had purchased an extended warranty. After going back and forth with the service advisor, leaving messages and no return calls, it was finally decided that the dealership would pick up up the cost. Customer service here is nonexistant. If I had not purchased the warranty at this dealership I would have been more than happy to take my money somewhere else! More
The Pre-owned Sales Manager, Shawn Gusti, was just great! Shawn was very professional and was willing to work with me on making this deal happen. I had been working with about 9 other Lexus dealers from NJ to DE to MD to VA. I got various numbers and excuses about giving me what the “auction” value of my RX would be. Shawn Gusti, at Richmond, gave me what I was looking for on my trade-in. My sales experience at Lexus of Richmond was great! Without a doubt, it was one of the best car buying experiences in my 30 years of car ownership. I live about 2.5 hours away from Richmond and it has been well worth the time and efforts. I would encourage those who live in the VA/MD area to give Lexus of Richmond a shot. More
If here is a better dealer in the USA, I cannot imagine it. I am a nobody yet everytime I go in there, they make me feel special. They always treat me with respect. Their sales people are great to work with: no high pressure stuff, they spend lots of time trying to find the right car for me at this time. The service people are great. They fix problems the first time and explain what they did. Osama in finance always comes out of his office to greet me when I am in the showroom and speaks to me by my name, while asking about my wife and children. It's always a great experience. I love buying cars from this dealer. More
