Called about having a timing belt addressed and was surprised that the price for the service was significantly lower than my usual service provider. I specifically asked why the cost was less than I e surprised that the price for the service was significantly lower than my usual service provider. I specifically asked why the cost was less than I expected, and was told that it was because it did not include everything in the 90,000 service, but essentially included everything that I needed for the crucial maintenance of that part. I also added brakes, a navigational upgrade, and a fuel service to the package. When I reviewed the bill, I was surprised to see that the water pump would not be replaced at the same time, based upon the location, and the accessibility at the time that this service was provided? My previous experience was that this service was typically performed at the same time, and the failure of this component will be as fatal in the failure of an engine as the timing belt? I would have assumed that if this were the case, it would have been addressed at that time. More
