We feel like we always get a great deal there and have never been pressured in to anything we weren't comfortable with. Jordan and his team have always been respectful of our time, and our pocketbook. As far as I am concerned, there is no need to shop anywhere else. More
For a while when Calvin was out sick there was a breakdown in service, but he has been great since his return. When we fisr spoke , he gave me the options choosing the vehicle I was most interested breakdown in service, but he has been great since his return. When we fisr spoke , he gave me the options choosing the vehicle I was most interested in, which happened to be at another Sheehy Ford location. I was promnised that the vehicle would be available for me to veiw and test, but unfortunately Calvin went out sick (death in family) and that was when the delays and brakdown occurred. But since he has been back he have been very helpful in getting things back on track. I have now purchased two vehicles from Sheehy. I bought a 2010 F-150 about 6 months ago, and more recently, a 2008 Focus. Both times I dealt with Mr. Thompson and it was an absolute pleasure! He was very knowledgeable and was always looking out for my best interests. I highly recommend this dealership, and would not want to deal with anyone other than Holcomb Thompson!! Could not be more happier with my experiences at Sheehy. More
Just bought a new 2011 Ford Fusion SEL at Sheehy Ford, Midlothian. Nathan Bonds from their Internet department was my contact. Had the exact vehicle I wanted on the lot. Complete experience was very profe Midlothian. Nathan Bonds from their Internet department was my contact. Had the exact vehicle I wanted on the lot. Complete experience was very professional and enjoyable. I had done my research (Consumer Reports Buyers guide and specific model price report, Edmunds, Kelly Blue Book,...) and by Motor Trend criteria got a price rated as great, which when combined with the reputation of the dealership made me very comfortable with the purchase. A few Northern Virginia dealers (Koons, Brit,..) were indicated by Internet pricing services as being able to do a better price, however interactions with them and reading reviews from other customers (on this site and others) did not give me confidence I would truly get the full savings advertised without it being a very difficult interaction, combined with a long drive, and difficulty obtaining service if any issues existed after the sale. Highly recommend doing your homework and including Sheehy Ford in your vehicle search. More
I had visited the dealership a couple of years earlier, and the sales people were very nice and not pushy, even thought I said I was just looking at the time. That really impressed me! A few days ago I s and the sales people were very nice and not pushy, even thought I said I was just looking at the time. That really impressed me! A few days ago I started looking for a car and started locally, but I was disappointed by the selection and the pushy, uneducated sales people. I had to educate myself on their vehicles, I looked at Toyota, Scion and resigned myself that I would have to take what they had. Then pasting the Ford dealer I seen a couple of cars that drew my attention, reluctantly I stopped ,mind you this dealership is about 3 miles from home. It was as if I was invisible I was there 30 minutes or so. Didnt get to see inside of cars feed up I left! I remembered the Sheehy Ford dealership, but I hated to drive 70 miles to get thier my truck only gets 9 miles a gallon (down hill) $$$ So I took the chance and right away it seemed to pay off. I was greeted when I came in, I said I wanted to buy a car and the people up front said they would get me a salesperson. So Christina Lopez came and right away started show me some of the cars that I thought I wanted to get. She didnt hesitate to get the keys for them and I tested drove the ones I liked but they were not really what I needed. I think she knew because she steered me to the model that turned out to be the perfect match! One problem they didnt have it their, not a problem for her she had already found several models for me to pick from while I was doing the test drive (smart!)she then answered all my questions and helped me to pick out a great car with really good options, and the price was $5000.00 less than the other dealer prices. What a great sales person (Christina Lopez),1.Knowledgeable salepeople 2.Great selection and OUTSTANDING PRICES 3.Fast financing personal.4. Great service picked me up and took me to dealership when car was ready, outstanding! 5.Christina followed up the sales by programing the sync system and giving me phone# to call her if I needed any help. Even though I am moving about 800 miles south I will be coming back when I buy a truck from them! I would recommend Sheehy to anyone! They really set the bar high, other dealers better wake UP. Thanks again Christina! More
My car broke down shortly after re-locating to Richmond, VA. I went to Sheehy Ford of Richmond on Midlothian Turnpike to look for a vehicle because I knew I had to replace my car that was no longer running VA. I went to Sheehy Ford of Richmond on Midlothian Turnpike to look for a vehicle because I knew I had to replace my car that was no longer running. Mike Carson was the salesman there and after I explained my situation to him, I felt like he had my best interest at heart. He showed me vehicles that were on the lot with low mileage and excellent used cars. He took the time to explain information to me and within just a few hours, I had gotten what I think was the deal of a lifetime WITHOUT going to the DMV!! All the finance was taken care of and I became a VIP with them that day. Now I can just make an appointment and all my maintenance needs will be taken care of when the time comes AND they will drive me to my job or back home so I don't have to wait. This is going to make life easier for me. I was very impressed with the service that was given to me at this dealership and highly recommend anyone to go there for their next purchase. More

THIS DEALERSHIP IS GREAT! If you are considering visiting this dealership and / or buying a car from them, a hassle-free, encouraging experience awaits you. I just purchased a new 2011 Ford Fusion visiting this dealership and / or buying a car from them, a hassle-free, encouraging experience awaits you. I just purchased a new 2011 Ford Fusion SE from Sheehy Ford Lincoln Mercury of Richmond this week - Tuesday 2/8 to be exact. This is my third car, but it is my first new car. I have also never bought from a dealership without a family member there with me. I must say that I was more than completely satisfied with the experience. I wanted to do a lot of research before I visited the dealership and Sheehy Ford was very accomodating. Their online inventory was accurate and easy to search. When I contacted the dealership for a quote, they responded the very next day since I had submitted the request late at night. The Internet sales team was never pushy in any way shape or form. They gave me the information that I asked for when I needed it. They suggested that I come in for a no-obligation test drive, which did not bother me because I was planning on doing that anyway. I scheduled an appointment via e-mail and one of their salesmen - Jonathan Williams - contacted me personally by phone to confirm it. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly and courteously by another member of the Sheehy Ford team. I did not have to wait long at all for Mr. Williams. I had to exchange some paperwork to get my existing car evaluated for a trade-in value and begin the test drives, but this was trivial and did not take longer than I expected. The cars I wanted to test drive - a 2011 Fusion V4 and a 2011 Fusion V6 - were ready and parked in a nice, well-lit area of the lot. This was important since I had to visit the dealership after work and it was getting dark. Mr. Williams was very patient, professional and helpful as I pored over the cars, looking at every detail I could think of. He was very accomodating with the test drive, in that I asked to take the car on the highway so I could test for a different feel in the engines at highway speeds - Mr. Williams graciously said yes. He supplied all the details I wanted during the drive, but he also was quiet for part of the time and let me listen to the engine and the rest of the car like I wanted to so I could decide how different the two cars were. I appreciated this. Back at the dealership, I asked for a third test drive on another car, which happened to be parked on the sidewalk in front of the showroom building. Mr. Williams again came through and got everything ready even though it was already late. When we sat down to talk about pricing and financing, he was extremely accomodating and very patient as I asked a lot of questions. He willingly went through their on-line inventory with me again so I could compare the different models with his assistance. My first car was an old V6 and my second was an old V4, so I was having trouble deciding between the two models. I asked Mr. Williams what someone would actually need a V6 for - a ridiculous question, right? One would think I should be able to answer that question myself since I was the one buying the car, right? Mr. Williams did not respond in this way. He gave me a patient, detailed answer that made me feel very comfortable and not pressured. I really, really appreciated this because I was having such a tough time deciding. His advice was very helpful for my situation. The next thing I wanted to do was to get a financing quote on two different models so I could compare what I would have to do to get my desired monthly payment. Instead of pressuring me to make a decision right then, Mr. Williams gladly took my information to the right person and came back with several options. I thought the trade-in value was too low, so I said I would like to take my car elsewhere and get a second opinion. Mr. Williams went back to the trade-in evaluator, and instead of coming back with pressure and negotiation, he patiently explained how they calculated their trade-in value and why it was different than what I expected. I have traded in a car before, as have some of my family members. I did not get a higher trade-in value, but I was completely satisfied with Mr. Williams answer because it made logical, realistic sense to me - I knew why I was getting what I was getting. Also, based my own research, it helped me to understand IN MY OWN MIND - NOT DUE TO PRESSURE FROM THE DEALER - that it was unlikely I would receive a better offer elsewhere. Not wanting to waste my time, I proceeded with the financing discussion. I was eligible for the Ford Partner Recognition X-Plan pricing, but I noticed that Sheehy Ford seemed to be doing a great job of marking the MSRP down themselves. For example, I saw another Fusion on the lot (I did not buy this model because it was not what I personally wanted) that had an MSRP of over $24,000 - Sheehy had marked this down to about $20,800. I thought that was pretty good. Mr. Williams committed that they would go with whatever option gave me the best chance of getting my monthly payment where I wanted it to be. We went through several rounds of calculations, but I clearly sensed throughout the entire process that they understood what I wanted for a monthly payment AND that they truly, really were comitted to getting me there. I found that very refreshing. When they came back with the options, I actually spent several minutes - 5 or 10 maybe - just staring at the offers in silence trying to decide. Instead of fidgeting or badgering me with questions and information, Mr. Williams waited patiently and quietly while I made up my mind. During this time, he only spoke when I asked a question. I thought this was very professional since I needed some peace and quiet to help me think clearly. Oh, and by the way, this was about 9:15 at night - THE DEALERSHIP HAD CLOSED OVER AN HOUR AGO!!! I never, ever, ever felt rushed to make a decision - not even once. Once I made my pick - a 2011 Ford Fusion SE, blue flame metallic exterior, charcoal black interior - Mr. Williams led me to the business manager who was still there (Jordan Fooks) to work out all the final paperwork and financing. I had wanted 0% financing for 60 months, but they said I would get a better deal if I took about 2-3% for 72 months and kept the X-plan discount. This was certainly true, and anyway, I didn't so much care about the specifics of the financing as long as my monthly payment and down payment were what I wanted. Mr. Fooks was very patient, professional and helpful throughout the process - which went faster than I expected, actually, given the amount of paperwork we needed to do. I thought they might try to make me go with Ford Credit financing (and I actually would not have minded if they had) since it WAS a Ford dealership, but they actually encouraged me to go outside of Ford since it would give me a lower monthly payment. I initially refused the extended warranty coverage and membership in their VIP service club - and Mr. Fooks even waited patiently while I conferred with a family member over the phone on this subject. He clearly understood my position. Like any good salesman would, he tried to explain why it would be a good idea to accept it anyway. I honestly wasn't sure what I really wanted to do, so this approach didn't make me feel pressured at all. Mr. Fooks patiently explained the coverage to me and even laid out an example of what might happen with and without the coverage - a credible example, I thought, based on my own experience. Once again, ON MY OWN, NOT WITH ANY PRESSURE AT ALL FROM THE DEALER, I was allowed to consider the logic at my own pace and make my decision. I chose to accept the additional coverage and options because in the end, the math truly did work out in my favor. It was a slightly higher monthly payment, but I PERSONALLY felt good about that since in the long run, it would actually save me money if I ran into any costly car repairs. At the end, I was getting ready to write the check for the down payment and I noticed that the loan papers did not say that my check should include taxes, titles and fees. I asked Mr. Fooks about this and he said that I could go either way - keep the check at the bare value for the down payment I wanted or tack on some extra to cover those taxes and fees. He explained that doing so would lower my monthly payment, so I asked how much I would need to add and how much my monthly payment would be lowered. Remember that I said I had the option earlier of two different monthly payments - a lower and a higher - based on whether I took the extended warranty coverage? As I said, I took the higher payment because the long-term math truly worked out in my benefit. Mr. Fooks informed me that if I did put some extra money down to cover the taxes, title and fees, my monthly payment WITH all that extra coverage would then be EVEN LOWER than it would have been without it if I did not put extra money down. That sounds complicated, but the point is this - for an affordable, comfortable increase in the down payment, I got a better monthly payment. Even though Mr. Fooks had already printed out all the loan papers (which were rather long) reflecting the first down payment, he patiently re-did all of them - AT 10:00 AT NIGHT, TWO HOURS AFTER THE DEALERSHIP HAD CLOSED!!! In the end, I felt completely comfortable and satisfied with the purchase, with the service I received from Jonathan Williams and Jordan Fooks and with the entire car buying experience at Sheehy Ford of Richmond overall. The whole team and staff was welcoming and friendly. I got the exact car that I wanted and it is just right for me. Due to the way that the team at Sheehy Ford treated me and conducted the process, my first experience at buying a new car was professional, detailed, hassle-free and handled at just the pace I wanted it to be handled. I went into the dealership actually not expecting to buy a car that night unless a very specific set of conditions were met to my satisfaction. To their credit, the team at Sheehy Ford of Richmond worked patiently and professionally to help me reach those conditions and feel completely comfortable with my decision. I am very glad that I went to this dealership and I would glady, heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a new or used car. More
I used to have an auto salesman who I considered to be the epitomy of salesmanship, customer care, and knowledge. He was my go-to guy for buying a car. My recent experience with William Goin has chang the epitomy of salesmanship, customer care, and knowledge. He was my go-to guy for buying a car. My recent experience with William Goin has changed all that. We spent several months visiting William at Sheehy Ford looking for a new car for my mother-in-law and a car for my daughter. We visited the dealership and William many times, for test drives. We called him even more times with questions. He was always helpful, friendly, and courteous. William convinced us that the best buy for both our cars was from Sheehy Ford. When we came to purchase the cars, I was not looking forward to it. Up until now, I thought buying a car ranked right up there with having your teeth pulled without painkillers. However, our buying experience was painless, and actually quick, and almost fun because of William's professionalism! William came through with flying colors for the Keisters and he has earned the distinction of being the Keisters' New Go-To Guy for buying cars. Thank you, Sheehy Ford, for our experience at the Midlothian dealership. More
