UPDATE: This place makes me sick. After returning my vehicle within the 5 day money back guarantee, Sheehy refused to do their part by turning in the tags to the DMV. Thankfully I cau After returning my vehicle within the 5 day money back guarantee, Sheehy refused to do their part by turning in the tags to the DMV. Thankfully I caught this in time, as the DMV had already billed me $417, along with a $7/day fee for the next 2 years until the registration expired! Being a new teacher with ZERO money to waste, I nicely went in and spoke with Sales Manager Chris Gaston - who told me that he had no clue where the plates were and tried blaming me for taking them. Thankfully after threatening a lawsuit, they were able to resolve the issue with the DMV (only after 2+ months and almost $500 in fines). When I say that these people are scam artists who only care about how much money is going in their pockets - it’s an UNDERSTATEMENT. Also - ONCE AGAIN- I never received an apology from Chris or any of the other salespeople about the hassle they put me through. My experiences with Bill and the rest of the salesmen and women were amazing! They weren’t pushy when it came time to choose the right car for us, gave me and my fiancé their full attention by answering any questions we had, and were 100% honest and full of integrity. On the flip side, every interaction I had with a sales manager Chris Gaston (from the process of buying a vehicle, returning it to the shop for a fix under warranty, and eventually getting my money back for a vehicle within the 5 days) was not what I expected from a local, chain dealership here in Hagerstown. On the 2nd day of the 5-day money-back guarantee, I brought my 2016 Kia Optima into the shop after noticing a pretty obvious noise coming from the engine every time I pushed the gas. After the GMC service dept (who were as friendly and helpful as can be) exhausted all efforts into diagnosing the issue, they were helpful enough to send my Kia across the street to Hagerstown Kia service. After picking up the car from the shop and having Chris Gaston at Sheehy tell me they diagnosed the issue as the wrong fuel octane, I called Hagerstown Kia to see exactly what they diagnosed as the issue - they were nice enough to tell me the truth and inform me about the “scoring on cylinder 4” and that they recommended “replacing the engine entirely” to Sheehy. Long story short, if I wouldn’t have reached out to Hagerstown Kia, I would’ve been stuck with a car that would be in need of a $5-6,000 engine replacement in no time! All that considered, getting my money back was almost a 2 hour process that involved me being told “just contact us on a daily basis and see if we refunded you the money”. Eventually, after pleading with the sales manager and explaining to them that I’m a teacher and needed the money to make ends meet , I was able to receive the full amount back on a check that day. It should also be noted that I didn’t receive a single “We apologize for the hassle you’ve been through the past 3 weeks… and for trying to hide a serious engine problem from you by putting higher octane fuel in”. But I’m happy to say - I at least got my money back! More
I would’ve put 0 if I could. One thing after another with no resolution or concern for their customers. They sold me a wrecked car and I have had to take it back for several things only to be told they don’t hear the rubbing noise and the transmission they couldn’t even check after having me drive an hour there and sent me to the ford dealership where I live. I had an estimator at the collision center write an estimate on all the repairs that you can tell was thrown together so that it wouldn’t be noticed by a regular customer(the estimator pointed it out but also made sense with the issues I’ve had). I had to pay for the trunk that wouldn’t work right after I bought it. Tried to get them to help me but all they say is the carfax doesn’t show anything. The carfax won’t show anything if it’s paid for out of pocket. They don’t want to hear any of it and refuse to even think about buying back this vehicle even with me offering to purchase a brand new vehicle from them even though they have screwed me over so many times. I talked to the manager several times and yet he only answered some of my emails and refused to answer most of my questions. My original sales guy told me not long after buying the vehicle when I had the first problem, that he quit working there because he didn’t like how they handled things and thought they did shady business. Had they actually found a solution as their contracts states they will in cases like this, I wouldn’t even leave a review or I’d rate them better. I gave them the opportunity to right their wrong but they only care about making money no matter what happens to their customer. I would remove this if it was rectified but doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. Sure, they don’t need me for them to continue to make money, it would just be nice to know they actually care about their customers. More

Wanda was a pleasure to work with and the purchase was seamless. The dealership stayed open for an additional hour and still was able to stage a purchase pic as the car was a gift to our daughter. Worst Car buying experience ever. Advertise for item on vehicle that did not work and then would not stand by them to fix them. if there was a 0 I would rate them a 0. Lied to us about getting a 2nd key wi vehicle that did not work and then would not stand by them to fix them. if there was a 0 I would rate them a 0. Lied to us about getting a 2nd key with our vehicle - I had to screenshot the verbiage that states that to the salesperson and then he got us one. Had to take car back with less than 900 miles on it with a coolant leak. Would not recommend. Not easy to deal with More
We have purchased 4 cars at Sharrett over the last several years as well as visiting numerous other dealers.Sharrett is by far the most customer oriented of any we have ever dealt with. Our salesman(Pa several years as well as visiting numerous other dealers.Sharrett is by far the most customer oriented of any we have ever dealt with. Our salesman(Paul Melville)was most attentive and interested in us getting the car and deal we wanted.Everyone at this dealership was most friendly and helpful and I beiieve this attitude starts at the top and shows what the "shopping for a car"experience should be! Believe me, I have bought many cars over the years from many different dealers and many of them could take a lesson from Paul and his sales manager on customer relations! Years ago I read a book titled "Customers for Life", Sharrett's employees have mastered the concept.THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH! John & Peggy Slattery More
