Please accept our apology that over the 3 weeks and 2500 miles you drove this vehicle while your lease buyout was processed at your financing institution you experienced this issue. It can be very stressful purchasing a vehicle and things do occur during ownership that require repair on a pre-owned vehicle. We did rectify the issue with the vehicle (as we were the owners) and it was a simple fix that did not render it worthless. The lack of area to negotiate was due to the fact that the vehicle was already priced below market value for the exact reason you stated, we had it for too long. We are saddened that we were unable to earn your business in this situation and appreciated the opportunity.

Thanks for the response. It's clear you're trying to cover up poor ethical business behavior through stating that I drove the vehicle for so long and so far. Let's be sure to remember that the vehicle was offered to me to drive home (I did not ask) knowing that I lived an hour and a half away from the dealership, that I commuted 120 miles/day to and from work, and that the duration of the lease buyout was completely unknown at the time - by both parties. Also, you did not rectify the issue. Steve stated that the sunroof would leak again (exact quote). To expect a sunroof to leak is foolish. They are made specifically not to leak. Once they do, however, the damage to the electrical system is completely unknown. This is especially true when the vehicle sits on your lot for 10 months through a Wisconsin winter, spring, and summer. Steve told me he was positive that it had never leaked while on the lot. How could Steve know this to be true? Are all vehicles checked for leaks after precipitation? Also, I stated that I would like to talk about the price because the BMW mechanic told me the vehicle was worth less (not worthless, there is a difference). I was quickly shown the door - no negotiation because you would not have a discussion. I firmly believe you didn't pass along the leak information to the next patron who inquired about this vehicle...I also firmly believe that you knew something else was wrong with the car due to all the check engine lights that were on (that I also spoke with Steve about without a real response other than the service techs did not know how to turn them off - unbelievable)... Hence the unethical business practices.
