Who Knew Car Shopping Could Make You Feel So Good????? My experience with Sheboygan Chevrolet was nothing but positive! I had recently been treated rudely by another dealership, so was keenly aware of the My experience with Sheboygan Chevrolet was nothing but positive! I had recently been treated rudely by another dealership, so was keenly aware of the difference between good and bad service. In my situation, I'd been shopping and looking, and reading reviews of different vehicles, but then my car died, and I had to find something PRONTO, while working with a fairly tight budget. I know my salesperson (Steve Dewey) from some other circles, but sometimes when you move from a personal relationship to a professional relationship, or try and play the "friend" card, it backfires and nobody is happy. This was absolutely NOT the case! Due to a 30 plus mile distance, I began my discussions and negotiations with Steve via private messaging on his business Facebook page. We picked out everything about the vehicle and negotiated financing and everything via distance. So when I came in, literally all I had to do was do a test drive, sign the paperwork, and get oriented to the vehicle. That was a month ago . Since then I've had several follow ups from the dealership, checking in. I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership, and especially Steve Dewey to anyone who asks, and I already HAVE done so. When he was taking care of me, he said something so simple and profound, "Thank you for your TRUST' when it comes to car dealerships, that is no small thing. There is a Chevy dealership less then a mile down the road from me, and six other brands of dealerships within a five mile radius of my house, but I would rather drive 35 miles down the road to be with someone I TRUST. Basically, Here is the initial letter I wrote back to the dealership about my experience: _______ Hello Steve, I was extremely pleased with the service and the ease of the transaction. You helped me find a car that looks great, and fits my budget. You did not try and "oversell me" in fact, you were more conscious about options then I was at one point, knowing I was on a limited budget. Online Treatment before as we negotiated via messages and phone was friendly and not pushy. The car was there waiting along with your smiling face when I actually got to the place. Leah, the finance woman was friendly and gracious, and professional. The meeting with sales manager Chris was quick and professional, and his followup in detailing the car was helpful. Your efforts to make sure I was comfortable in the car physically before I bought it, then to orient and familiarize me with the features, and follow up was also very friendly, never condescending. I am getting used to the car and her features. Cecelia Cruze handles ever so nicely, and has a bit of spunk in her. Despite that mature, subdued exterior paint job, there is a little bit of a wild child car hiding in side. She LOVES curves and country roads! Thank you again for the personal and professional service. I was thinking again about some of the other car companies I've looked at online . You didn't give me brewers tickets or a cooler, or some other hype present, but you didn't have to because you gave me good service, and a quality vehicle at a quality price. CONFUSED NO RESPONSE 2002 CADILLAC ELDORADO I WAS TOLD CAR HAD AN OIL LEAK BUT I BOUGHT IT ANYWAY THE PRICE WAS RIGHT LEAVING ROOM FOR ME TO GET THE LEAK FIXED AND STILL AT A GOOD PRICE. [ NO OIL LEAK 3 DIFFERENT MECHANICS COULD NOT FIND A LEAK I HAVE HAD THE CAR ABOUT 3 MONTHS HAD THE OIL CHANGED ONCE NOT ONE DROP OF OIL !! ] BUT THE CAR STUNK, ROTTEN SMELL INSIDE . TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY DISINFECTED THE CAR , THE NEXT DAY IT STILL STUNK !! CALLED THE GENERAL SALES MANAGER HE WAS NOT IN LEFT A DETAILED MESSAGE WITH MY PROBLEM ALMOST 3 MONTHS AGO NO RESPONSE !!!! I I FOUND WATER UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT FLOOR CARPET I DRIED IT WITH A SHOP VAC. HAD THE CAR WASHED IT WAS SOAKED UNDER THE SEAT AGAIN THAT'S WERE THE STENCH WAS COMING FROM. As it was a recent trade in, I had to wait to purchase the vehicle officially for several weeks, but, knowing my situation, this dealer allowed me to use their temporary vehicles until I could take mine home. Many people cautioned me to not tell a car dealer that I was without a car, fearing that I would be put at a disadvantage in the buying process. I never had to worry.
