I brought our 2 Hyundai's for service this week, one is older (2013) and one was purchased at Shaker's in December 2023. Tuck needed some work and two recalls fixed - he's old so I expected more than an oil change price (yes, way more) and Fay was in for an oil change. The only thing I noticed was that there were oil smears on the edge of the hood. When I got home I noticed oil that had dripped down the front bumper. Not really sure how the drip was there. From a distance it looked like something scraped the car and I panicked. I did wipe it off but had to really clean it up when I got home. Overall the service is great and everyone is wonderful there. When we decided to try out a new 2025 Hyundai, we immediately thought of Shaker's Family Hyundai in Watertown as it's only 20 minutes from where we live in Torrington. We encountered a very nice selection of Tucson's and Sonata's - our prime considerations for our next mid-size car. We had purchased a 2011 Sonata new nearly fifteen years ago and knew that cars must have evolved considerably over that time. SUV or Sedan, we weren't quite sure but after looking around we were approached by Brandon Matos, our salesman who listened and seemed to intuitively understand our needs. After inquiring as to our budget, he steered us toward one of each model. The 2025 Sonata SEL AWD was nice, but our thinking was that it might be time to switch things up. We ended up really loving the 2025 Tucson SE and its myriad features, most importantly those regarding safety. Our test drives were pleasant and Brandon answered all of our questions. We signed the papers that day to facilitate the delivery a couple days later. Brandon was very professional, friendly and took the time to explain the Shaker's no commission philosophy. Then we met with Jessica Deedon, a wonderful young woman who cheerfully broke down the figures and took the time to explain everything in detail, offering various add-ons and we are so happy that she did! We loved the idea of an extended warranty and gap insurance, just in case. We picked up our new 2025 Tucson SE that Saturday and everything was in perfect order. The car was spotlessly clean and the personable Kiara Ruiz totally explained all the settings and features. She really knew her stuff! We drove away with our full tank of gas and confidence in our major purchase. Brandon, Jessica and Kiara were all there to see us off.
