I was driving my daughter to Austin from our home in Maine, she was moving into a new place. My old, 2017, FJ Cruiser had finally succumbed to age and the harsh Maine winters. It sat back at home in my driveway. I had been looking around for a newer one but hadn't really found anything I liked. On a lark, I thought, maybe look around Austin, at least the vehicles won't be rusted from the winter road salt. We found a few options and went to Sewell Jaguar/Land Rover of North Austin. A short test drive and I decided to buy a 2018 FJ. Of course, being from out of state, the sale was a bit more complex than normal because of things like sales tax and out of state registrations. But Thano Drivas and the rest of the team really made the whole process seamless and simple. Bottom line, about 20 hours later I drove the FJ off the lot and headed north. This was a terrific buying experience with a spectacular and professional team. Sidenote: my daughter had never actually been in a car dealership before and had clearly never seen the process of buying a car. As she put it, she was amazed it was all so relaxed.
