I jumped online and saw that Sewell had some 2022 QX80s in stock and I contacted Blake Grider. I told him I had been looking at another dealer, been made an offer and wanted to know if he felt like it woul in stock and I contacted Blake Grider. He told me without seeing my trade he could not tell me for sure, but felt that if my trade was in the condition I described that it would be worth coming for a visit. My wife reluctantly agreed to go with me Friday night assuming we would again be wasting more time. When we got there, Blake met us at the door, was extremely nice, professional and had already pulled up several that he felt would work for us. While our car was being appraised, he showed us the different interior/exterior colors options he had available on the computer. We selected on to look at, test drove it and when we got back, our appraisal was complete and I asked him to write it up and let see where we landed. He presented a offer that was better than what the other dealer had offered on their demo unit. We didn’t have to haggle or go back and forth, we just said great write it up. When he had everything all worked up, there were no additional fees added at the last second and was exactly as he said. Everything was transparent and very simple. He gave us a tour of the facility and explained the benefits of being part of Sewell with car washes and pick up and drop off service and we left that night with our brand new QX80. My wife is beyond thrilled with it and on the way home commented about what a different experience it was at your dealership and said “why doesn’t everyone do business this way”? Cars are my thing and I go through a LOT of them. Some people golf or have other hobbies, mine is cars. I guess I have just gotten used to poor customer service and the stereotypical salesman tactics that car dealers are known for over the years. I know the culture at Sewell is very unique in the auto dealer business and since we have not purchased from Sewell since 2007, this was a great reminder to us to pick who we buy vehicles from carefully. We also cannot express enough how impressed we were with Blake. His professionalism and maturity far exceed his age. He is one you will want to keep in the Sewell family. When we are looking for our next vehicle, he will be our first call and will be recommending him and the Sewell dealerships to anyone that we can. We are glad to be back in the Sewell family. More
