I was very surprised (! ) to see some negative reviews here. I got my car in July 2022, after searching several other dealerships in Houston area (incl. Tom Peacock and oth ) to see some negative reviews here. I got my car in July 2022, after searching several other dealerships in Houston area (incl. Tom Peacock and others). I was extremely frustrated by that point, since all dealerships had extra mark ups, and tried to rip me off. In most of them, service was very clingy, in Toyota Don McGill dealership a guy literally did not allow me to exit unless his supervisors "approves" that I could leave their facilities. Then I found Sewell. Not only Sewell did not have any extra mark ups or fees, the whole service experience seemed extremely superior and comfortable, I felt like I was in a posh hotel or a Cadillac (pun intended). Now I'm looking for an upgrade to a bigger car, and looking only at Sewell dealerships (which kind of frustrating in a way, since they only deal with 3-4 brands in Houston, but I'd rather confine my selection criteria than deal with those other dealerships again :) More
I would give zero stars if I could. I paid them $12,000 for a used car and they lost my money. In my opinion there is no “Sewell Difference”. They’re just another car dealership cut from the same cloth as all the others. Which is extremely frustrating when we thought we had a deal on a pre-owned vehicle and the dealership sold a few hours before we could get there to purchase it. We had negotiated to the point the dealership had sent us the invoice for purchase. The dealership didn’t give us a courtesy phone call or text message until after the vehicle was already sold and it was too late. We thought the deal was done with a dealership that prides itself as being different and we were sadly mistaken. More
Just left the dealership from my initial car search and test drive. The sales associate, Mackenzie, was prompt, smart, knowledgeable and very accommodating when answering all my questions. What can I say, I am blown away on professionalism and customer service I experienced at Sewell. I bought used (no warranty) Cadillac - great and professional buying experience with Mackenzie, no push, ho customer service I experienced at Sewell. I bought used (no warranty) Cadillac - great and professional buying experience with Mackenzie, no push, honest trade in value (they actually matched Carmax offer). Two weeks later went for maintenance. During the service, I found out that one of the shocks is leaking (pretty expensive part in Escalade). I immediately went to used car manager Kim, ready to start the war over defect that wasn't disclosed. Manager not only approved the repair right away but also make sure that it was done very quick and at $0 costs from me. THIS IS HOW customer service should look like. I will be coming back to Sewell! They sold the Nissan Xterra that I was looking for. Didn't even give me a chance to put money down on it!! They went out of their way to accommodate me, even during these crazy Covid times. Aaron facilitated the entire purchase remotely, and made me feel very comfortable buying without first viewing the car in pe these crazy Covid times.
