So very disappointed in my family’s experience with Serramonte Ford. We had been looking for a Ford Explorer to exchange with our current Explorer. After a few text exchanges and a video from the gentl Serramonte Ford. We had been looking for a Ford Explorer to exchange with our current Explorer. After a few text exchanges and a video from the gentleman who was helping us, we made an appointment for the Friday after thanksgiving. We live in Monterey and planned our day around buying this car. After a pleasant hour and 45 minute drive we arrived early for our appointment, since this was an appointment we didn’t go in early and waited an hour . When we arrived it felt like we were on some display with all the staff looking out the huge windows as we parked. We entered the show room and were greeted by one of the staff. We stated we had an appointment with Anthony. He stated that Anthony was with another guest sealing the deal and he would help us out instead. We were seated in a cubical as he went to look for our information and get the keys to what we were expecting to be our new car. After a few moments the eager staff members went off to do something else leaving us puzzled. A few minutes later another gentleman came over and said “so I guess you heard the bad news.............” apparently this was Anthony. With a bewildered face we were confused. “We just sold the car you were interested in 15 minutes ago!” We asked why didn’t you call or text us since you knew we were driving from Monterey to the bay area during a pandemic! His reply was this couple came to get a 2021 but went with the 2019. We stated that we had an appointment for that specific car. We were shocked and disappointed with this information. I know that this is a car lot but when someone has an appointment for a specific car it might be best practices to set that said car aside or tag it with a note for the other dealers. WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT! I understand that for you guys were a number and a not a family, just another potential sale, But in this instance you would have sold two cars and not wasted our time along with losing a loyal ford customer. As a parting gift instead of rectifying the situation we were told “ have a nice drive!” I think that it would have been the time a manager would have stepped in or something. Nothing happened, we left sad and dissatisfied while the fishbowl of men car dealers watched us drive away. More

If I could give zero starts, I would. I brought my car (Ford Fiesta 2013, less than 40K miles on it) to this place end of June with a power issue (car losing power, especially on hills). They changed the (Ford Fiesta 2013, less than 40K miles on it) to this place end of June with a power issue (car losing power, especially on hills). They changed the clutch and charged me almost $3000. The problem was not solved. At the end of July, I brought it in again and they said there was a problem with the calipers and they needed to be changed. After I complained, they did not charge me for that, but charged to change the pads on the breaks. So, at this point I have spent almost $3600 and the problem hasn’t been solved. I brought the car back. They did not test the car when I said they had to in order to see the problem (in the morning, on a hill). So the car was on the shop for 2 or 3 weeks and nothing was done because they didn’t see the problem I was having. Since they didn’t know what the problem was, they had been waiting to hear from Ford. I needed the car, so I had to take it back. Today, driving on a hill in the morning, the car almost didn’t make it! I called them again and they say that they haven’t heard from Ford yet, so there is nothing they can do. It has been 4 months already and I can’t use the car properly! I don’t want to bring the car to another place and pay more to fix the car since I already paid for something that hasn’t solved the problem, so Ford needs to fix it somehow because I might have paid for something that didn’t even needed fixing! I am not sure what to do at this point. I don’t want to wait forever and keep being brushed off. Do you know your cars or not?? Where are the specialists? They have been waiting to hear from for Ford for more than 1 month now! More
