I called about a newspaper ad from Serra Nissan and was given a good out-the-door price by Jesse. I confirmed this price and the availability of the car with him. When I got to the dealership that same day, I was told they had sold the last of that model, but had a more expensive model available. I expressed my concern that this was a bait and switch, that they had no intention of honoring their advertisement. I was assurred this wasn't so. After checking with his sales manager twice, they were still asking $2000 more than I had agreed with Jesse over the phone, for a car with extras and options I did not want nor need. They would not negotiate down further, so I left, wasting 2 and 1/2 hours, time with my children, and 70 miles worth of gas. These are the type of practices that give car dealers a bad name. I found this experience to be deceptive, dishonest, and in bad faith. As of this writing, the original car in question STILL appears on their website, even though it is supposedly sold. More
