We were searching for a used car under $10,000 for a young driver. The car that met our criteria was on the Serra Nissan website, so we called the dealership to verify the presence of the car on the lot and to inquire whether the internet pricing was correct. We were ASSURED that our out-the-door price would be at or LESS THAN our budget. So we drove forty-five minutes to the dealership, introduced ourselves and asked to see the car. We were taken to an office while they "looked for" the car, and asked for all of our financial information. We gave our basic information, then asked to see the car again. Instead, the salesman explained the "fees" that would be added to the internet price. A thousand dollars for a paint sealant we did not ask for, a DELIVERY FEE for a USED CAR, along with other random items that added up to nearly $1600 ABOVE THE PRICE. At that point, we left--without ever setting eyes on the car. The salesman and the manager literally chased us out the door, asking what they could do to sell us a car. The short answer? TELL THE TRUTH. More
Worst Experience EVER!! My 2010 Maxima was towed there on 1/4/18. They told us it would cost $4000 for a new transmission. I tried to call them several time on Friday, 1/5/18, to arrange to pick up my car so I could have the work done elsewhere. The service dept never answered the phone nor returned my voice msg. Called several times Saturday. Again, the service dept would not answer the phone. Their voice mailbox was full. Called main line several times and finally asked for a manager. Was told all managers were busy and they would call me back. No call back. Finally called Consumer Affairs Office at Nissan Corporate - it took them 30 minutes to get someone on the line other than the receptionist and conference me in. Finally, i am talking to someone other than the very rude unhelpful receptionist (Jessica). Now, THEY CAN'T FIND MY CAR!! After I provided them with the tow company name and the quote they had given to fix my car it took them an HOUR to find my car. Now they tell me I can't pick it up until the diagnosis fee of $115 is paid. Ok, let me pay that. Nope, can't pay over the phone you have to come here and you can't pay until Monday because our cashier just left. Really! I have been trying for 2 DAYS to make sure my mechanic can pick up the car after hours and now you tell me I can't pay until Monday so he can't pick up till Monday. No way - let's find a way to pay today so we can get the car. They finally agree to take cash if we can get there by 7pm. Great! I'll send someone. Get a call back. We can't accept pymt unless you are picking the keys at same time. Ok, so give us the keys and we will get them to the mechanic. Sorry, can't do that. WHAT? WHY? we can't get your car moved outside the gate tonight. WHY? everyone in the service dept has left for the day and we can't get to the keys and nobody is here that can move it out from behind the dumpster (has to be towed). I have been calling for TWO DAYS DURING BUSINESS HOURS to make sure the car can be picked up after business hours and am now being told there is no way i can get my car until Monday. They promise me they will take care of everything on Monday morning. Now it is Monday and the fee is paid and THEY STILL WILL NOT MOVE MY CAR FOR PICKUP AFTER HOURS. They insist it must be picked up during business hours. WOW!! THREE DAYS AND NUMEROUS HOURS ON THE PHONE TO TELL ME THAT!!! I spent HOURS dealing with these incompetent people. WORST experience with a dealer or service dept ever! No way would i ever trust them to fix anything!!! More

I was guaranteed I would be leaving with a ca5 only to get denied. Don't do business with Tom Smith, hes is the worst and biggest fraud. So my advice is don't support them and find another dealership with honesty More

Straw purchase They lied about everything. When we took the car back the very next day because there was nothing on the paperwork showing that I was the cosigner. Th They lied about everything. When we took the car back the very next day because there was nothing on the paperwork showing that I was the cosigner. They lied and said I purchased the car for me and I never saw the car or test drove it. They even let my granddaughter drive off. I will be suing them. I had to trade the car in at Benton Nissan in Hoover. They are great in Hoover. They also charge me 30000 for a car not worth 22000. Found Al this out afterwards. Please do your research they got this old lady. More
Rude! Car lots like this one give that feel that all car salesmen are out for themselves, and trying to do whatever it takes for the $1. My experience Car lots like this one give that feel that all car salesmen are out for themselves, and trying to do whatever it takes for the $1. My experience with on-line sales was pushy, rude and insulting. on top of that, unprofessiabl as the same salesman was trying to sale a washer on same site/username. Lego WB!!! More

I bought a brand new Nissan Sentra at Serra Nissan in 2013. I've had Sentras for years and I always get manual transmissions because they're fun to drive. I've always gotten about 125 thousand miles on my Sentras and I've never had to replace a clutch before close to 100 thousand miles. I have over 30 years experience driving a standard transmission and treating a clutch right. But this past summer, the clutch on my 2013 Sentra, which had only 24,000 miles on it, went bad. The car is still under warranty, so I took it to Serra Nissan service. They told me that with all my warranties and service agreements, the clutch wasn't covered and would cost $1800 to replace. A service manager I could've given birth to told me it went bad because I probably didn't really know how to drive a standard. He brushed off my 30+ years successfully driving a standard, usually getting 100,000 miles or more to a clutch. So last summer, at GREAT expense to me, they replaced the clutch. This January, about 6 months and 6000 miles after they put in the new clutch, the clutch failed again. I am renting a car (again at great expense) and I had the Sentra towed to the service department at Serra Nissan because when they did the work last summer, they told me the repair was guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles. NOPE. They say the guarantee doesn't apply because a clutch is "a wear item." So why tell me I had a guarantee on the replacement of a wear item? FURTHERMORE, they tell me the repair this time will cost $2400. CLEARLY there is something else wrong here. I've successfully maintained clutches on 4 cars and when they put the new clutch in this car, I treated it like it was made out of fine bone china. Serra Nissan offered no help. They recommended that I file a claim with the Nissan corporation. That claim was just denied. So I am going to sell the immobile, useless Sentra to the dealership for whatever I can get, take whatever they give me for it ELSEWHERE, and get a cheap used car. 😡 More

I told the gentleman at the desk that I needed an oil change and that I had completed the survey (which gives you a free oil change) and my free oil change should be in the system. He said he could look it up for me. This took about 5 minutes. He then tells me that I gave they a low rating the last time and that the free oil change is only if you give a good review/perfect score. I told me that out of 1,00 points, I only gave them 678. He then proceeded to ask why the score was so low. I explained that their customer service was sub-par. I told him so basically you all are cooking the books; meaning that they are bribing their customers for good reviews in exchange for a free oil change. I told him that no where in the email that I received concerning the survey did it say that I had to give a good review in order to receive the service. It simply says complete the survey and get a free oil change. I told him that the only reason I was there was for the free oil change as the service is not up to par. He told me that he couldn't honor the free oil change, but he could knock something off the price and do it for $19.99. I told him that this is why my review was so low and that he could keep the $19.99 oil change and that I would take my services elsewhere. He told me I wouldn't find a better deal than that one. I told him at that point, it wasn't about the deal, but the service and I would never patronize a business that does not value my service. They were dishonest with the whole survey issue and their reviews are not accurate as they are bribing people for good reviews. At the end of the day, customer services goes a long way for me and theirs is the worst that I have ever received at a dealership. I took my service elsewhere and paid almost twice what Nissan was offering; however, I was treated as a valued customer and that is what counts to me. More
