Service the customer I went in to have some work done. Previously having a full inspection and work done at Gosett Volkswagen in Memphis, I knew the issues with my car and I went in to have some work done. Previously having a full inspection and work done at Gosett Volkswagen in Memphis, I knew the issues with my car and how much they would cost. Simply requesting to have the repairs finished, the mechanic said that he was going to clean it up and look at it because the cam cover may not need to be replaced. He knew about the cam cover because I brought in with me the detailed paperwork from the Memphis location. Two days later I received a call saying that in his “professional” opinion he recommend that I trade it in because of the $5000 cost of repairs and 20 hours of labor. Not forgetting I knew what had to be done already. If I wanted to trade it in I wouldn’t have purchased the car “AS IS” just the past January. $5000 is a lot less that $20 or $30 thousand dollars. I’m not sure if he assumed I couldn’t afford to get it fixed or if he just didn’t want to do the work. Either way I don’t feel comfortable taking my car back here because if they were to do it I can’t trust that it be done right and properly. More

I paid for a diagnostic unnessarily I paid for a diagnostic when only a battery testing was required to inform me my battery had a bad cell. They did not replace the battery at my request., However, I did go back to where I originally bought the battery and it was replaced at no charge. I was out of 138.00 dollars because I made the bad decision to go to Serra when i should have went to Pep Boys!! I was treated better at Pep Boys than at the service center at Serra. (where I purchased my car) the second one in fact!! I will not be returning. and further more I was told at Serra that it was the wrong battery after research I was confirmed the battery was correct it just had a bad cell!!! More
