Terrible Service My wife brought her car there for a very specific problem. The accelerator was racing out of control. It was literally trying to push her into the c My wife brought her car there for a very specific problem. The accelerator was racing out of control. It was literally trying to push her into the car in front of her as it accelerated out of control. Once she arrived, the car stopped doing that but the mechanic went for a drive with her and she explained it to him. He told her he knew exactly what it was and could take care of it that day. He changed the motor mounts and the tie rod ends. He charged us $1,000 for WORK THAT DID NOT NEED DONE! He did nothing to the engine at all and didn't seem to even look at it. There was a warning light on, yet they never tested or even put a scan tool on the the engine to see what the problem was. As soon as she left it did it again. I went out to meet her because the car was dangerous to drive. I took it back to them again. It didn't do it again so we left it with them for a few days so they could diagnose the REAL problem. They drove it several times but again still never put their scan tool on it. After all of this, I picked it up and took it to a small shop that seemed to care. He put a scan tool on it and within 2 minutes had it correctly diagnosed. The solution was a simple part that cost $75 to replace. So, thinking Rivertown Honda would want to make this right, I spoke to the General Manager. He pulled the parts manager into the conversation so they could together convince me that they did no wrong. They had no intention of working to resolve this problem, only to convince me I was wrong. If you do go there, use extreme caution. If you go there with a flat tire they might well sell you a new bumper and send you and your flat tire back out on the road! I learned my lesson. NEVER AGAIN! More
