Final Nightmare We brought our Captiva in for an oil change approx. 3 weeks ago. Prior to that we hadn't been having any problems. After the oil change, our Captiva was leaking some kind of fluid on the garage floor. We called in and weren't able to get another appointment for a full week. We were told to just keep driving it unless a light came on. When the appointment finally arrived, my husband waited 2 1/2 hours at your service department only to be told that they couldn't find anything and to bring it back if the leak continued. When my husband got home, he called Classic Chevy in Mentor and was given much more information about fluid colors and what to watch for just in one phone conversation. We had an appointment with them within 2 days. The total time my husband spent at their dealership was less than an hour. They found the leak and fixed it. They didn't give us a run around or hold us hostage for hours. We will not be returning to Pat O'Brien Chevrolet for any service. Ever. Or buy a car from you or recommend your dealership to anyone. Ever. The continued poor, extremely slow service has finally pushed us over the edge. More
Restore front end parts of S10 Lower control arm FAIL Larry and his Techs kept my truck from the CRUSHER!!! They restored Ball joints, stabilizers, wheel bearings, etc. All were very professional. An unexpected pleasure. Bringing a car in for service following a brutal winter is not for the faint of heart. So there was great trepidation when I brought my wife's 2011 Ma Bringing a car in for service following a brutal winter is not for the faint of heart. So there was great trepidation when I brought my wife's 2011 Malibu in for an allignment, oil change, and safety inspection. I opened myself up for a real gouging when I told the service rep to take care of anything that wasn't as new, but I want my wife to be safe on her daily commute. I had a realistic expectation ( I thought ) of what a fair price would be, and was fully prepared for it. What I was not prepared for was the completed price to be less than half of that! There was no taking advantage of my "just fix it" statement, and driving the car since has been a real relief! If anyone were to ask, or if anyone were to make a blanket statement about taking a car to a dealer for service, I will be a very vocal advocate in the name of Pat O'Brien! Thank you. More
Dealership did not redeem coupon/discount based on technicality (even after I asked if there were any prior to arriving, and was told no-they did not accept electronic coupon, and this was NOT communi technicality (even after I asked if there were any prior to arriving, and was told no-they did not accept electronic coupon, and this was NOT communicated). Mislead about length of time for repair by over an hour and a half outside of the upper range of repair length I was given. Spoke with John (not sure which one) and he was condescending and did not seem empathetic. I only intend to return to this dealership if service is under warranty and free. More
