Absolute scam and waste of time! We were looking to trade our Mustang convertible for a Jeep. Wanted a summer toy that was still usable in the winter. I bought the Mustang from a dif We were looking to trade our Mustang convertible for a Jeep. Wanted a summer toy that was still usable in the winter. I bought the Mustang from a different Serpentini location and had a good experience, so I was optimistic. We were looking at a 2010 Wrangler that was on their website for like $10K. Wanted to keep things relatively cheap because I didn't want two huge car payments and I was already financing a 2025 vehicle. Long story short, the salesman and the finance guy took forever to work the numbers wjile we sat there waiting. They never told me what my trade was worth or what the particulars were before we test drove, only that It was doable. I had mentioned that I knew it might be hard to finance such an old vehicle and we were also looking at a newer one for $18,500. BIG mistake. After assuring me we could finance the 2010, he went to get it for me to test drive, then came back empty handed and said that it started but would not go into drive for some reason. Gave me a xx story about how he only had the spare keys because service had the original and sometimes you have that with spare keys (????) I think he was just trying to push me into the more expensive vehicle. So we tested that one and actually like it. he disappeared with the finance guy again, then came back with a finance sheet that had the car marked at $21,000 (NOT the $18,500 as listed), and had me priced out at a payment over $650/month! And that was with $1000 down AFTER my trade. I never even looked at how much they were giving me for the trade but it seems like they were jacking everything up to make up for it anyway. I asked him on the test drive what they valued the trade at but he was dodgy and wouldn't tell me. This by the way was on a 2014 vehicle. I'm paying over $200/month less than that for my brand new car! More
