Beatriz is so professional and makes you fell so comfortable! I had no faith in getting a car coming in from being denied everywhere . I had a terrible experience at Seminole Toyota last week. I've previously been for collision repair, and that department is excellent. HOWEVER, I came in for routine maintenance and after a car walk aroun I've previously been for collision repair, and that department is excellent. HOWEVER, I came in for routine maintenance and after a car walk around with my service associate (which I had two of--the place was very busy and even though I had made an appointment and arrived at 7:30, I did not leave for 3 1/2 hours), I was assured that I would need only minimal maintenance. If you are a woman, they will try to take you for a ride--I felt bullied into over $600 dollars of "routine maintenance" that DID NOT include an oil change. After two hours, no surprise, I got a call from their sales floor about trading in my Prius V (they have not been made since 2017, and with a tune up, actually maintain their high used car value). The sales associate left some long unanswered pauses when I said I was in for routine maintenance and repeatedly assured them that I was not interested in a trade in. 15 minutes after that I get a call from my second and originally intended sales associate to talk about some needed and unexpected work. Little backstory--I had brought this car into the shop 6 months previously after hitting some road debris and showing them the exhaust hanger was no longer in the same position. At that time, they assured me that everything was fine and not to worry about. Fast forward to last week and this service associate (NOT the mechanic) came out to tell me the entire thing would need to be replaced. I blew my top. I explained the previous visit, the recommendations at the time, and my disbelief that it would cost the price tag they were suggesting. I did a quick google search and (even with recent supply chain disruption) and it confirmed my assumption that they were trying to gouge me. At no point did the service associate--who was clearly young and not used to dealing with irate customers--suggest bringing over a senior associate or the mechanic. I waited another hour for a wheel alignment they recommended and then the sales associate pleaded for me to not write a negative review because it only reflects poorly on them. WHAT?? He had printed up a standard "Toyota check list" and not all the information was correct on it--I had bought two tires from this same place 8 months previously and they were recommending that I needed another two tires--even though all 4 had the same tread depth in the same paragraph (????). I ended up going to a local and excellent mechanic who was able to manipulate the exhaust hanger back into it's original position for only 69. And guess what? The mechanic came and talked to me, explained everything they were doing, answered my questions, and then the shop washed my car. NEVER going back to this terrible shop. More
Although the staff is friendly and they have very nice waiting facilities, these people are incompetent. I've now had three visits, of those only one went well. My first visit they had me waiting near waiting facilities, these people are incompetent. I've now had three visits, of those only one went well. My first visit they had me waiting nearly 4 hours for simple routine maintenance that I was told would take no more than one hour. Then when they finally brought my car out, I found that they had NOT done the oil change - and the oil change was the ONLY thing I had specifically requested. I had to bring my car back the following week to get that done. Second visit was fine, everything went well. Third visit - same as first. They performed scheduled maintenance but failed to handle the oil change I specifically requested. Once again I had to schedule another visit the following week. Also, on this visit I waited over an hour and a half - and I *saw* them bring the car out after about 45 minutes - they just did not bother to tell me. This might not sound like much, but since an oil change is literally the most common service any car ever needs, their total FAILURE to perform this service 2 out of 3 times puts them as the all-time worst service department I have visited in my 42 years of driving. More
