It is unfortunate but their philosophy is constructed on the American showman Phineas Taylor Barnum statement, "There's a sucker born every minute." We went to buy a Scion tC and found that all cars have preinstalled dealer options such as window tint, door guard, and a door handle thing. In fact it seems like all David Maus dealerships have this up sale as we saw at their Volkswagen and Chevy dealerships. Folks, please understand if a dealership adds window tint at $299 and you finance you are paying on that $299 for the life of the finance which could be 72 months. Think about it. Also, you can get tint cheeper elsewhere which when brought up to sales person, I was told but it has life time warranty. Folks, 99 percent of window tinting places have life time warranty. I walked to the Pure Price pricing board they had at the entrance and asked sales person can we get the tC for 20,500 that was listed plus the $799 dealer fee but we do not want your add ons. Which you think since it is on the Pure Pricing Broad it would be a no brainer. Think again. Of course our sales person had to go ask a manager, go figure. On walked Sales Manger David who had to go ask another person, go figure again. This is called the wait them out, ask multiple people, look we really worked hard for you tactic. David returned and said, “They do not have a car that has no dealership add on options, go figure. Thus David said what if we threw the options in for free at which point I confirmed,”so, $20,500 plus $799 dealer fee and the tax & plate fees?” I made it a point to reiterate multiple times and was agreed. After David left, I asked our sales person what would they give us for trade of the car we grove in on? Our sales person said he would get an appraisal person and left. No more than five minutes went by when sales person returned and started to re-negotiate saying deal was for MSRP $21,803 plus $799. David even came back with a laminated MSRP pointing to how this car had spoiler on the front of car. Folks, all 2015 tC have that spoiler design on front. Plus, how is that getting the dealer add on options for free? It is not as David just added them by going off the MSRP. The funny thing about all this is the price of 20,500 plus $799 is what TrueCar gives you and sends you a certificate when you try to get best price without all the bull. The dealership will respond with an explanation and make it seem like they are wonderful. I just wanted a car dealership to honor the price they have listed on their Pure Price Broad, TrueCar, and agreed at dealership. Too much to ask for with David Maus. I can imagine what would have transpired in their finance department if price honored. If one department is tricky to say it mildly what do you think the other departments philosophy would be? If you want to experience what this motto,”There's a sucker born every minute," feels like just go to any David Maus. More

Great price, friendly salespeople NASTY Manager We came in the dealership to buy a Scion over the weekend and dealt with one of the younger salesmen. He was obviously new and had a lot to learn but he was very nice and did his best to help us. After walking us around the lot and looking at several different cars we went inside to get pricing on a few of them. It was kind of funny because he came back to our table several times getting different things. This really wasn't an issue. The issue was the lady manager behind the glass that kept yelling and cursing at our salesman. She was cursing him and screaming at him like he was stupid, our 10 year old even noticed it. I felt sorry for him and the others that work there and can't believe David Maus has that kind of people representing him there. When the salesman finally made it back to us he was so upset by her he couldn't talk and had another manager with him. The price was good on the car we liked but we decided to wait, honestly we were just turned off by the cursing and negative. As Christians we both felt our support should go to a dealer with correct values. More

I felt very comfortable visiting this dealership and talking with the sales person, Joseph Honka. Joseph Honka reached out to me quickly after I inquired about a truck the day before. He listened to my needs, let me come back a couple of times to make sure I found what I was looking for. Responded to all my emails promptly and thoroughly. I got to test drive the 2015 Toyota Tacoma. I didn't feel pressured to make a decision right away. I am very happy overall with the sales process and financial department. I recommend anyone to research the car they want and then get with Joseph at David Maus Toyota to get help with searching for and buying a car. More

"Whatever it takes" (including lies) I bought a vehicle from these guys on a lease to purchase option. I told the sales guy that if I was gonna buy this van instead of leasing another, th I bought a vehicle from these guys on a lease to purchase option. I told the sales guy that if I was gonna buy this van instead of leasing another, that I wanted the back bumper repaired. So he gives me the "yeah sure, we'll take care of it. Just buy this warranty cause it covers everything and we'll get that fixed for you." Took me 8 months of mentioning this bumper and insisting that I wanted it fixed at every service scheduled to finally find out that the sales guy lied to me. He never even passed it on to the finance department. I'll never do business here again. Once you've lost a customers trust it's hard to get it back. I told my story to the sales manager, he "listened", then basically told me that I was SOL. More

By far we felt that the overall experience of purchasing at David Maus Toyota is the absolute BEST. Mark was a very knowledgeable , helpful and never pushy. We felt we received a good deal. The Dealership itself is awesome ! We've never seen a dealership with a full snack bar in it. The entire place was spotless and EVERYBODY was friendly and eager to please. They even have a shuttle that will take you to the Seminole Mall of anywhere within 15 miles at no charge and then come get you when your vehechle is ready We scheduled to go back today (to have something added to our Camry (5 Nov). We arrived early and spoke to Vinny Lopez in the Service Dept , he was wonderful Gentleman. He took care of everything. We are snowbirds and had to get our tags/title processed in another state and Vinny took us to Michelle in Customer Relations. WHAT A SWEETHEART!!! She took care of us like we were family. She called and had a gentleman from Finance(?) come talk to us and I'm sorry to say I didn't get his name. He was also fantastic. Bottom line is. In my opinion David Maus Toyota is the best Dealership that I have ever been to and all the people that work there are second to none. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE at DAVID MAUS TOYOTA I just wanted to take the time to express my complete satisfaction regarding my purchase experience this past weekend at David Maus Toyota. After a number of exhausting days searching for the "perfect" car, and spending many hours at a number of dealerships in the Orlando area...I finally arrived in Sanford FL at David Maus. Aaron Boyar greeted my boyfriend and I, and we explained what type of vehicle and price "comfort zone" which I was attempting to find. Aaron listened attentively and offered valuable input and knowledge. I had a specific vehicle in mind, but was not certain that it was attainable with my budget. Had just been through a not so great experience with a competitor in Clermont. That dealer sales manager basically dismissed the idea of me purchasing my "perfect new car", then insisted that I would have to settle for an older selection from their sparse used car inventory. I just walked away, did not appreciate their lazy tactics. As it turned out...worked to my advantage. The next day, we made our way to David Maus Toyota. Aaron Boyar, Tim Cooke, and Jon Albino worked their buns off for me ! I was able to purchase my perfect car with the help and consideration of that good group of guys...standing ovation ! My overall experience was excellent and comfortable (once my nerves calmed, lol). The guys were great, and the dealership was welcoming and friendly in feel.
