Select Luxury Cars responded

The facts are as followed: -Customer filled out a 'blind appraisal' before a deal was put together on the Bentley, stating the condition of the Porsche trade in. -When the Porsche (trade) arrived at Select Luxury Cars it need an extensive amount of repairs: rotors, brakes, sway bars, undercoating spay for the removal of rust, etc totaling $8,000. -The customer was appalled by the notion that the Porsche needed any sort of repairs and refused to pay for any of it, demanding that the deal was finished and the Bentley was delivered. -Yes, Select Luxury Cars did in fact reference getting a lawyer involved because our blind appraisal form is a legally binding contract, for issues that arise in the event a client would misrepresent their trade-in. -Select Luxury Cars was able to get our main vehicle service provider to quote fixing the Porsche, as a favor, still costing $4,500. -We presented the option of unwinding the deal and shipping the customers Porsche back, AT OUR COST; the customer did not want to pay for the repairs, nor did the customer want the Porsche shipped back, demanding the Bentley be delivered. -Select Luxury Cars decided, OUT OF A GOOD WILL GESTURE, to split the cost of repairing the Porsche with the customer only having to pay $2,500: that is what the customer opted to do, there was no 'protest' from the customer, it was mutually understood by both parties at the end. In conclusion: It is unfortunate that good business did not come from this transaction, but it was not from our part: our Bentley was well represented and our customers vehicle was not. It is unfortunate that the customer had to come up with extra funds to complete that transaction, but the customers trade was not what they said it was. It clearly states on every single blind appraisal form that funds will be sought if a vehicle is misrepresented and that it is a legally binding contract, singed by the customer.
