A Long Day Ended with the Perfect Car from a Perfect Dealer My day began at 4:30 am in Nashville, TN to drive down to look at a 2009 Mercedes SL550 at Atlanta Autos, another dealership in Marietta, GA. I was assured over the phone by an Atlanta Autos team member that the car was in excellent condition and was definitely worth the drive. When we arrived at Atlanta Autos, we would have thought no differently. The dealership was beautiful. They had Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, and AMG products lining the showroom floor; they looked like a well put together high-end dealership. When I hopped in the SL550, I immediately noticed a few things were wrong with the vehicle, but they were all minor and could be dealt with by using some elbow grease and a shipment from eBay. I never purchase a used vehicle without an inspection, so I drove the car over to Rocco's European Garage on Roswell Road in Marietta. After an hour and a half wait, the mechanic came back with a five (5, in case you misread that...) page report on things wrong with the vehicle. All in all, the car needed $8,000-$10,000 in repairs. (The engine was leaking oil in multiple places, there was an issue with the convertible top, a problem with the suspension, and all of the many computers in the vehicle were turning on, but NONE of them were communicating with one another, not to mention two pages worth of stored codes, two of the tires were showing threads, the list really does go on. And on. And on.) Hearing this, I was understandably fuming in anger. I took the car back to Atlanta Autos and requested to speak with their sales manager. When the sales manager came and reviewed the sheets upon sheets of issues with the vehicle, he began to try to excuse some of the items by saying they weren't a big deal, and then tried to say that the car only stored codes because it had been sitting, and that there was nothing wrong, and that if I drive it a little more they'd all go away. If you know ANYTHING about cars, this is a load of...we'll say lies in order to keep this review PG. After continuing to listen to their sales tactics, I stood up, said that I simply do not want the car, and walked out the door. Flashback to Rocco's European Garage here: While we were waiting on the SL550, a product specialist from Select Luxury Cars named Orlando dropped off a vehicle to be inspected for a client. I cannot express how impressed I was with Orlando, so after our fiasco at Atlanta Autos, we decided to pay him a visit at Select Luxury Cars. He helped us narrow down our search to two vehicles, and after multiple test drives of each vehicle, I decided to take a 2014 Mercedes E350 Convertible to Rocco's for an inspection. We were delighted when the inspection came back with only two issues: a cracked grill and a missing seat control button cover. When I brought this report back to Orlando, he immediately dialed up his parts department to find these parts and had it put in writing that Select Luxury Cars will not only pay for the parts but ship them to me free of charge AND pay to have them installed by MY choice of mechanic here in Nashville. The parts are set to arrive later this week and are scheduled to be installed on the car as soon as they arrive. After completing the financing process with Jerry, which yielded us a GREAT deal, and an INCREDIBLE interest rate, we left with the top down headed for Downtown Atlanta for an exquisite dinner at Ruth's Chris, and then returned to Nashville. We will be returning to Orlando, Jerry, and Select Luxury Cars after the summer to purchase another vehicle. In the end, we may not have returned to Nashville until midnight, but we returned with our stomachs full, our minds and wallets at peace, and the wind blowing through our hair. More

I initially reached out to him over their website's chat line and he was very helpful in the entire process. I was out of town for a couple of weeks and had the option to put down a deposit to hold the car, but I opted out and waited until I was able to see the car. Keep in mind that the deposit isn't refundable, unless you see something wrong with the car when you come to pick it up and decide not to go through with the purchase. I have never purchased a vehicle without every seeing it so I didn't want to do that with this one. Anyways, I was able to build a relationship with James over phone conversations and email exchanges until I came to see the car. Once we agreed on everything, the rest of the process was smooth sailing. We agreed on everything on Friday and since banks were closed for the day, I came back to pick up my vehicle the next day. James has a genuine interest in building a relationship with his clients and his goal is to have repeat customers. If you are looking for a car that is unique and has features that are hard to find, this is the place to shop. And they ship cars all over the world! I would definitely recommend. I gave this dealership 5 stars because all previous car purchases have taken me all day to finally agree on price, care options and etc. This process with Select Luxury Cars took a couple of hours max. I found the car I wanted and left without any hassle. More
