Absolutely terrible experience with Drew Ford in La Mesa. They told me that $2900 in repairs would be covered under the 7 year/70,000 mile warranty before making the repairs. It was a different story when I picked up my vehicle. They said the repairs were not coverd under warranty. The warranty information that I have clearly states that the EGR system (EGR was replaced)is clearly covered under this warranty. They state that since the oil cooler went bad first, the warranty is void. There is nothing to prove that the oil cooler went bad first. Furthermore, even if it did occur, there is nothing that states that the warranty is void because of this. They have a book of warranty guidlines from Ford that they follow that is different from the information given to their customers purchasing a new vehicle. It has been difficult to get anyone on the phone regarding this and the people I have spoken with made me promises that they never kept. This was my 5th new car puchase from them and I will never do business with them again. I have lawsuits pending. More
I bought my Ford F250 at another dealer (I won't mention their name, but they're a Ford dealer in El Cajon (not a great experience, but that's another story). Anyways, I had a problem with the vehicle goin their name, but they're a Ford dealer in El Cajon (not a great experience, but that's another story). Anyways, I had a problem with the vehicle going slow up the grade with my 5th wheel in tow. The other Ford dealer was clueless about what was wrong. I even offered to bring my trailer to go for a ride with the tech, and they said they couldn't due to "insurance reasons." A friend of mine recommended Drew Ford, so I called their service manager (Mr. Stein), and he told me to bring it in and set me up with Mike Vermilya. When I brought it in, Mr. Vermilya happily greeted me, and got it right to the tech (Jay or Jason-great kid). The tech diagnosed the problem, I was out in an hour and a half, and I have not had the problem since then (4000 miles ago). I would truly recommend Drew's service department, and I will be buying my next vehicle there. I bought a $50,270 2010 Shelby GT500 from this dealer. The car had serious mechanical and fit/finish issues that should have been caught during PDI. When I took the vehicle in for service for these issues with a detailed list and friendly attitude, my concerns were not taken seriously and the dealer blew me off with "no problems found". I contacted Ford and took the car to another dealer, El Cajon Ford. This dealer was friendly, took my concerns seriously, and verified the issues. They promptly fixed the issues and I was on my way. Drew Ford has TERRIBLE post sales service and support. Once your contract is finished on the sale, they're done with you. More
