Bought my new 2023 Dodge Ram pick up in November of 2023. After having to deal with the service department about an oil change I knew what to expect when I brought my truck in for service. I knew from the sound the truck was making that the drivers side front axle was the issue. I brought the truck in this morning at 8am. The woman I spoke to explained that it would take 2-3 days to diagnose and probably a few more days to repair. They had no “courtesy cars” so I would have to rent a car that “might” be reimbursed by the manufacturer. So I’m looking at realistically a minimum of 7 days without my 7 month old $60,000 truck. When I said that was unacceptable another lady by the name of Diana ONeil spoke to me. She said there was nothing else they could do for me. When I said it would be cheaper to bring it to ANY mechanic who could do it in ONE day she said “Go ahead bring it to a mechanic, they all know us anyway”. So as I’m leaving she starts waving and saying something. So I stop and turn around and say I spent $60k on a vehicle and you’re giving me lip? What kind of service is that? I spent an extra 8 thousand on a warranty that is useless. Unless I rent a car for at least a week which would cost at least $1500 it’s cheaper just to bring the truck to a local mechanic. When they say “Come get some” they mean a royal screwing from their service department. Nasty and demeaning. DO NOT SHOP AT SECURITY DODGE IN AMITYVILLE!!! Their customer service is atrocious and they DO NOT stand behind their vehicles. More
I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH ALL THE STAFF FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. TAMEKO MAXWELL WAS VERY HELPFUL. HE GOT ME IN AND OUT WITH WARRANTY REPAIR ON MY 2020 DODGE DURANGO. I have communicated to them I have no way to get my kids to school or work and there’s zero regard to situation. I will never buy a Chrysler again and if I do it will definitely not be from here. I usually don’t bother posting reviews, as we expect people to do their jobs when we pay for a service. However, I must say that Security Dodge Jeep is at the Apex of the game and truly makes you feel l people to do their jobs when we pay for a service. However, I must say that Security Dodge Jeep is at the Apex of the game and truly makes you feel like you’re part of the family from the moment I pulled the vehicle to the front and was greeted by Manny And then dealt with Rebecca the new service agent, and then, of course, interfaced with Tamico Maxwell a service manager. The experience was professional and friendly, and truly excellent while I was waiting for my car. I had some conversation with John at the front desk, and once again was impressed with his eagerness to help answer my questions and make me feel truly like I received concierge service as I picked up my loaner, which believe it, or not, was a grand Wagoneer trim level three! I was greeted by the women working the service desk, and again blown away by the professional and courteous treatment I received. When I picked up my car, it was much of the same excellence, professionalism as sincere friendliness. My car was delivered to me in perfect condition cleaned inside and out. I guess the reason for my writing this post is To tell people, there’s a reason why Security Dodge Jeep is rated number one, they simply all the best. Come get some.! More
The women who answer the phone in the service department are extremely rude and unprofessional. They have zero customer service abilities and are destroying the reputation of this company. They have no concern for the needs of the customer, and are beyond disrespectful and rude on the phone. We have purchased multiple vehicles from here over the years because AJ the salesman is awesome and helpful. However, whenever we have needed to service the vehicles, there are always issues with the last episode being the “straw that broke the camels back!” What is the point of getting a car at a place where you are treated like trash when you need service. Our recent experience involved needing to bring our truck for replacement of the passenger airbag for a no drive recall, which we received multiple letters and calls from recall company saying how dangerous it was to drive truck and how recall needed to be done right away. The recall letter also said that a loaner car would be provided and truck would get picked up from our house because it was not safe to drive. We knew that would not happen based on previous experience of never being given a loaner car from this service department. Upon calling the service department, the extremely unprofessional women who answer the phone and make appointments told me nothing was available for 2 months. I explained exactly what the appointment was for and the urgency and she again stated that was only appointment. When we Finally brought the truck 2 Months later, they had it the whole day only to tell us the part needed for the recall would have to be ordered and it couldn’t be fixed. We were told to pick it up and not given a loaner even though it was a NO DRIVE recall. It took another month for the part to finally come in and when we spoke to one of the mechanics in the service department, he said the part would be in at end of week and when it came in we should bring truck right away and wait for it to be fixed because it would only take an hour. However, when part came in and I was transferred to service department to make appointment, I once again had to deal with the extremely rude and unprofessional women who refused to let us bring truck right in as the mechanic had told us to do and refused to let me speak to a mechanic and Instead shouted that we were scheduled for an appointment the following week and slammed the phone down hanging up on me! Needless to say we had recall company call around and find us a place that had the part and we brought it to the dealership they found to be fixed a few days later. We suggest NEVER to purchase a vehicle at Security Dodge in Amityville because once you get the car, it will be a nightmare to ever get serviced and you will be treated like trash whenever you need to call to schedule anything. We will never purchase anything from them again. More

Max is amazing! I recently moved to NC but, when in NY I only let Security service my vehicle and it’s because of Max. I refer to him because of his customer service with integrity. My husband and I have the utmost respect and trust in Max. My only issue has nothing to do with service but, more financial. My prior vehicle was sold in July paperwork was submitted for reimbursement on my tire warranty to date I am still patiently waiting. More
