Just had a bad experience with this dealership BUYER BEWARE!!! In a nutshell I made a deal with the dealership to buy a Jeep at a very good price. I don't live local to the area, I had to fly in for thi BEWARE!!! In a nutshell I made a deal with the dealership to buy a Jeep at a very good price. I don't live local to the area, I had to fly in for this deal, so I sent my sister to review the car and place a deposit. She did, I was to fly in 2 weeks later and close the deal. After 1 week the salesman Hal, asked for more money to keep the car, I said ok and gave an additional deposit, I bought a non refundable airline ticket to go to this dealership because they were pushing me to get this car. No problem so I did, I bought my ticket a few days after my 1st initial deposit. 2 Days before I was to fly I get a call from the manager Joe Italiano saying that he can't sell me the car, he has no title. I asked questions and he flaked me off and tried to cut the conservation to focus on another car he can try to get for me. The man handling had begun. What Bull!! I even asked the salesman before any deposit was made, do you have the title?, and he said yes, what the hell! My suspicion was that they may have had a higher bidder, which is very dishonest after they had my deposit even. The manger told me that they were trying to get the title before I came down, so basically their tactic was to get my money and lie to the very last minute? I was very angry, no car and non-refundable plane tickets (2 by the way). After this the shop talk started to deviated my questions on the car and to sell me some other one, anyone they could get me to buy. After a NO NO NO, they said they'd refund me, well that took a while, I had to call everyday several times to get my $ back, they don't return calls and claim they are too busy. B.S!! I had to eat my airfare, I asked for compensation but of course they wouldn't even give me my $ back let alone fix their mistake. I ended up buying a car elsewhere a few days later much nicer. So take my advice WALK AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP, and deal with people that are actually honest instead of these people. I wouldn't risk it. I also put in a report to the DMV because legally you can't sell a car without a title, and they lied! More

I have given you this below normal rating because I believe that the work was not done according to my acceptance. The brakes are still making noise and also I submitted a coupon for a special price fo believe that the work was not done according to my acceptance. The brakes are still making noise and also I submitted a coupon for a special price for an oil change and that discount was never given to me on my receipt for the work done. Therefore, I most likely will not have work done on my 2007 Dodge Caravanby Security Dodge in the future. More
Found it strange that customers waiting for service had to pay for coffee/tea. I cannot believe the dealership has to charge for this. We pay enough for cars/trucks/suvs & to have them serviced at the deal to pay for coffee/tea. I cannot believe the dealership has to charge for this. We pay enough for cars/trucks/suvs & to have them serviced at the dealer and then to be charged for a beverage, is insulting. More
2/19/11-8:30 AM-visited parts dept to get new license plate holder for front plate (old one was cracked by someone backing into it). Was quoted price of $23 & would have to be gotten from warehouse for M plate holder for front plate (old one was cracked by someone backing into it). Was quoted price of $23 & would have to be gotten from warehouse for Monday delivery. Gave rep (young thin guy) my phone #-said he would call when ready. 2/23/11-no call received. Called parts dept-said part was in & that they had called. I have answering machine & there was no message nor any call when someone was home. 2/24/11-my son brought car in at 12:55 PM. Work wasn't completed until 3 PM. Bill was $46.81 (part #4806019-AC). Why was part twice the quoted price? There was no labor cost listed. Why did it take two hours to install a simple holder? If the shop was really busy, why didn't the Service Mgr let him know? There's a definite lack of communication & a concern about prices. I'm not happy that a simple task got messed up. I hesitate to engage in any involved costly work in the future. Let me know your opinion. I'm interested in your input. Thanks. More
I previously had a horrible experience at Herbie Dodge and the service and people here at Security were 10xs friendlier, and I had a better overall experience and would recommend to friends. Please beware. I would NEVER want anyone to go through this. I was a returning customer from 10 years ago. I had a wonderful experience with a lovely salesman then. He was honest and true to his word. this. I was a returning customer from 10 years ago. I had a wonderful experience with a lovely salesman then. He was honest and true to his word. Knowing that US cars are in trouble, I went back. Big boo boo. The contract was switched on me, and they took the original binder (For 18,000 and change , 2000 down making it 16,000 and change remaining..it's now at 19 and change) when I was signing papers. Tons of papers thrown in front of me. In their paperwork they gave me papers I did not sign, and had to be carboned or autopenned. Papers I had never seen, like extended contracts etc. I had to give the binder to the guy writing up the bank papers because he said he needed it for the Vin number and he Never gave it back. He gave me lots of papers but viola! no binder! How do I know he took it? They WON'T give me a copy of the original binder because they know the correct price is on it. They lied to Dodge Headquarters. They said they gave me the binder. Nope, no binder. Probably in the trash by now. The sales woman had first brought me a much higher priced binder which I sent back. She seemed annoyed that I spotted it. The second one was OK. But nope, they won't give it to me. Dodge is trying now, in all fairness to them, to open up a case on these predators. So, this week I got my first bank payment...and that's how I found out this nasty surprise. I saw the payments 30 bucks higher a month! To the tune of 3 Grand more. The bank can't help, and guess who has to iron this out. The Attny.Gen's office has been notified. Hopefully, they can spare any future victims from this heartbreak. I don't know how they can go home at night and look their kids in the eye. The true Amityville Horror.
