I have have work done on my cars there in the past and have always been satisfied. But this time they were especially helpful and patient as they helped me correct a problem that started with the Secor Subaru Service Department and Dent Wizard. While a dent was removed, a new scratch and paint chip were created. I want to make it clear that I have provided a somewhat critical review of an employee in the Service Department at Secor Subaru, but this should not reflect poorly on John or Jennifer, who I think are outstanding representatives of your company. More
I won't be back! In a recent visit, the service department claimed my Volvo needed a new engine. Very little information was provided other than this statement. This In a recent visit, the service department claimed my Volvo needed a new engine. Very little information was provided other than this statement. This was the final poor service received in less than 3 months. I had the oil changed 3 months earlier and voiced a concern over the battery. It was reported to me that the battery was checked and was fine. In less than two weeks, I had the car back and was told it needed a new battery. With regard to needing a new engine, I took the car elsewhere. While not a cheap repair it was less than 1/4 of the cost compared to having the engine replaced at Secor. I will not be back! More

They were very helpful and the car was all ready to go when I returned from my trip. Terrific experience. More

Diagnostics Appointment I brought my '09 S60 in for a check on the struts because a quick oil change company had reported I need new struts due to rust. I went to Secor Volv I brought my '09 S60 in for a check on the struts because a quick oil change company had reported I need new struts due to rust. I went to Secor Volvo for a 2nd opinion to make sure there wasn't a safety issue. I was pleasantly surprised when the service department reported it was just surface rust, typical for a car that age, and not a safety issue at all. I even left that day with no charge for the "diagnostics". Now that's an honorable service department! More
Sunshine on a Rainy Day I dumped my stuff into the back of my Volvo, slid into the driver's seat and to my dismay could not engage the seat belt! I had to get to class -- I teach English as a second language to immigrants and refugees -- and so I headed onto I-95. Coming right behind me were two police cars, one a "black and white," the other a grey sedan with the giveaway of an oversized headlamp on the driver's side. Oh, no, I thought. Please don't notice my not wearing my seatbelt! I've happily worn one since lap belts were installed -- about 50 years ago I'd guess. Conscious of the "law" behind and eventually, slowly going around me, I was especially observant of the posted speed limit, not something most v vehicles observe during aptly named "rush hour." I headed straight to Secor Volvo and explained my plight. Makenzie, the manager, commiserated -- her car,too, was currently out of commission -- and while she couldn't authorize my continuing to drive my own car, she called Julius who gave me a lift to school. He is a marvelous car companion, so thoughtful and attentive -- to both his passenger and to the traffic on a busy morning . He promised to fetch me later if there was a need and subsequently delivered me to my home and contributing mightily to my regenerated good spirits. Makenzie ordered and overnighted the part and by the end of the next day -- a Friday of a long holiday weekend -- I was back in my "office mobile." A day that had begun with trepidation and anxiety -- it's scary driving without the seatbelt!! -- ended so soon in one that was full of sunshine. More
