Dealer not standing behind their work and not trying to help I brought my vehicle to in for an oil consumption issue the dealership agreed there we an issue and agreed to repair per Toyota warranty extension. I I brought my vehicle to in for an oil consumption issue the dealership agreed there we an issue and agreed to repair per Toyota warranty extension. I got my vehicle back drove about 1500 miles and found that i was again using oil now more than before repairs, returned to dealership after doing my homework and finding multiple cases throughout the country where motor had to be replaced also having heard from several Toyota techs throughout the country that in some cases the piston rings can be put in upside down and will cause the same issue I am having. Brought this to the attention of Patrick Fralick the service advisor, he said he would check it out , the next day i was called and told that the vehicle needed a valve job and this would not be covered under warranty. I called Toyata to ask for assistance since in my opinion any repairs for oil consumption should be covered by Toyota as are all the other manufacturers with oil consumption issues. Toytota informed me they would not cover because i had declined the valve job when the engine was originally out. Pat Brooks ( the service manager) informed Toyota of this decline on my part after reviewing the situation with the advisor he agreed this was NEVER offered at that point it became clear Mr. Brooks was trying to dodge the warranty bullet. After speaking to an extremely rude Pat Brooks about it and a very abrupt and unhelpful Roger Belk I left several messages for the General Manager Jimmy Cline and still have not heard back from him. There are choices to bring your vehicle for service and to purchase your next vehicle it appears that Scott Clark has become to big and forgotten to take care of the customer. More
