I am leaving this review in hopes it will help somewhere down the line. I took my Crewmax in for a 5000 mile service and I was a litte disapointed in that my truck was not as clean when I got it back as be down the line. It had oil drops on the paint in front of the radiator. It was my first service on the truck hopefully it will get better. I hope the rest of the service was done a little better than the oil change. I think I was a lot happier with the sales people than the service department so far. More
My husband and I were very pleased with Scott Clark's Toyota Scion and their employees. My husband purchased a new Tundra, and was so pleased with the experience, that as the papers for his Tundra were Toyota Scion and their employees. My husband purchased a new Tundra, and was so pleased with the experience, that as the papers for his Tundra were being processed, we decided to purchase a car for myself. I could not decide on a Prius or Camry and Steve was very helpful and patient in showing me the different models and offered to have me drive them to experience both vehicles. We visited the parking lot and the parking garage on the upper level to see more vehicles. Scott Clark's is huge and has a great selection of cars and trucks, new and used, from which to choose. The salespeople were very knowledgeable, helpful and never pushed us in any way on either purchase. They helped my husband and I tremendously with some after-market purchases we made for our vehicles. It is obvious in dealing with Steve, Jose and Jim that they all work together to help the customer and each other in creating a good experience for their customers. My daughter had been looking for a 2009 Yaris. We went to a few dealerships and couldn't find any kind of a deal, only frustration. I suggested Scott Clark and off we went. Not pushy, mild mannered and very helpful. They didn't have any 09 Yaris's but he showed us a Mazda that we test drove. It was a really nice car but not what my daughter wanted. They made us an offer and we went home to think about it.The next day, Lionel called to say he had a 09 Yaris and he thinks he can come close to what we were looking to pay. I did not go but my wife went the next day. It was a great looking car but a little high priced. They made an offer and she went home, not impressed.On the next day, my daughter wanted to go to see the car and was ready to buy if they could make a better deal, being she was putting a good size down payment on the car. Plus my daughter recently graduated college so she was looking for one of the college rebates they were offering. And she was already approved for a loan since she has great credit. THEN THE FUN BEGINS.....................Along comes the big Sales manager, Marty Abernathy. He is what everyone fears at a car dealership. Arrogant, cocky, rude and he thinks he can close any deal just by his presence. Boy did he have it wrong.First, he doesn't budge on the price, which was 15,600, Then he says my daughter doesn't qualify for the college rebate because she does not work in the field that she went to school for. Then he says her credit isn't good because of a late payment for a doctors bill. Does this guy WANT to sell a car? Keep in mind, this is a dealership that needs to sell 600 cars a month just to break even!!Obvious not, even though we had 3K in CASH, ready to buy! He had my wife frustrated and my daughter crying. Now my wife is a force to reckon with herself. She is not taking any crap from a car dealer. Ironically, a friend of my wifes was also buying a car there. They talked a bit and the women said her friend purchased a 2010 Camry for 15K and she was there to get the same deal. So your telling me a 2009 yaris is more than a 2010 Camry?!?! She mentioned this to Marty and he turned white! After 1.5 hrs, they walked out. But have to say, I really need to shake Marty's hand because if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have gotten the best deal on a car ANYONE could ask for!There are no 09 Yaris's available due to the Cash for Clunkers probram. But after searching online, I found 1 at Lake Norman Toyota. We made a deal over the phone that was almost too good to be true. It was late at night so we couldn't get there but planned on going the next day. My wife and daughter met with Lizz who has to be one of the best salespeople you can ask for. Not only did they sell the car for 1K less than Scott Clark, they also said that she qualifies for a couple of rebates. Another 1K off the price AND , this is really unbelievable, 3.9% financing for 5 years!!!!!!!Thank you Marty Aberthay!!!!!!! More
My experience with Scott Clark Toyota and Barbara Katona was extremely positive. Barbara was knowledgeable about the Highlander and shared objective differences between the 2007 and 2008 models. Through the whole experience,Barbara allowed me and my husband to set the pace for shopping and car buying process. The biggest compliment I can offer was that Barbara's involvement was more to serve me instead of to sell to me. At no time did I feel pressure to make a purchase. Finally, Barbara followed through on some post purchase details that further solidified my faith in her and the dealership. I felt there was a little too much pressure to purchase Gap Insurance. I politely declined the finance person's offer twice and then again the next day when he called. I got the distinct impression he was annoyed that I did not purchase the insurance. More
My salesman, David Phannareth was excellent! I've purchased many new cars but never gotten any better all around service. My brand new Toyota was damaged in the parking lot of my husband's Memory Care Center within 24 hours of purchase. I went back to my salesman at Scott Clark and he personally drove me to a place where I could have the body work done. That is good customer service. More
I have been car shopping for months now, trying to find a dealership and a car I was comfortable with. Everything about this dealership was excellent. They really made me feel like they were doing what was i dealership and a car I was comfortable with. Everything about this dealership was excellent. They really made me feel like they were doing what was in my best interest rather than what would make a sale for them. It was a very long day but they made it very simple and very comfortable. They were extremely honest and friendly and I could tell that they weren't giving the typical sales pitch that you run into at other dealerships. I would recommend this dealer to everyone. I worked directly with Jeff Stroupe and Allen Horton and they really made my first-time-car-buyer a very pleasant experience! More

Throughout the process I was treated with courtesy, professionalism and never felt that I was being pushed or led into purchasing something that I did not want.I never once felt I was having to "play the car buying game". It was a pleasant experience, certainly a nice surprise. David kept his word when I asked that we keep it simple and straight-forward........an attitude that extended through the entire purchase process with each of the other persons I dealt with. These folks obviously know their product, feel very comfortable with it and, as a result, don't have to be deceptive or expansive. I have not had the new vehicle in for service yet but I anticipate that process will be equally professional and satisfactory. It appears that this dealership not only peddles "customer service" but also delivers it. I will not hesitate to recommend it. More
