We worked with both Charlie and Steve during the selling process and Ray for the warranty discussion. We met Charlie first, he was welcoming but not overbearing. Steve introduced himself and explained the "team" relationship as we were concerned that Charlie would not get recognition if we made a sale with Steve. Steve proved to be very professional and very willing to work with us through many questions and attempts to get the price we were looking for. He did not give up,but we never felt as if we were being harrassed. He developed a nice rapor with my husband and that is very important. Ray was also very professional and worked with us to explain our options. He even asked us to come back a second time so that he could work out a warranty that was better for us. On the final day that we purchased the car, Charlie came over and shook our hands and wished us well. Shelby was sweet and helpful in going over the workings of the car with us. All in all, I would say it was a very comfortable experience. I would rate both Steve, Charley and Ray "excellent" and would recommend this dealership to others looking for a good sales experience. I contacted Scott Clark Toyta via the web in search of a Toyota Venza. I was promptly contacted by RG Gunderson who let me know he was looking for the exact type of car I was requesting. RG was always prompt in his response to my emails or phone calls. He was always kind, courteous and respectful of me and my car shopping journey. He did not try to pressure or intimidate me. He answered all my questions and was always willing to go the extra mile in search of all the options and colors I wanted. He gave me an itemized "walking out the door price" on the car I wanted the first time I went in to see him. This was great and really helped me in making my new car buying decision. Dealing with RG was a pleasure. He is the consumate professional and treated me with the upmost respect. Once I decided upon my beautiful new 2009 Toyota Venza, Ray Cockerham led me through the mountain of paperwork to purchase my new car. Ray was great - very nice, personable and professional - he was very patient as he explained everything I was signing in great detail. Hillary delivered my new car to me in clean and shiney condition and patiently went over the details of operating my new vehicle. She even connected my Blackberry to the car's Bluetooth and made sure it was operating correctly before leaving the lot. I LOVE my new 2009 Toyota Venza and would most definitely recommend RG Gunderson and Scott Clark Toyota to all my family, friends, co-workers and strangers I meet on the street that are in search of a new or used vehicle. A week ago today, I walked into Scott Clark's Toyota City thinking I was shopping around. It was literally the first dealership I've stepped into in 10 years. I would have never thought I'd be walking out of thinking I was shopping around. It was literally the first dealership I've stepped into in 10 years. I would have never thought I'd be walking out of the dealership with a brand new car that very same evening. My "Scott Clark's Toyota Experience" was better than great. In fact, I would give them a 10 on a scale of 1 to 5. From the moment I walked into the dealership, I felt comfortable. I had an appointment with Barbara...Barbara is wonderful! She sat me down and asked me what I was looking for. Based on what I told her, she she showed me both new and used cars - explaining the positives and negatives of both. She didn't even seem the least bit frustrated when we were making our second trip to the spectacular parking garage to drive the third car that evening! Phillip was great also. He explained that awful "car math" that we, as customers, want nothing to do with and may have a hard time understanding. He was patient, honest and completely frank...which is how it should be! Tony was fantastic and took the time to go through each and every document I signed to make sure I knew exactly what I was signing and answered all the questions I had in the process. Hillary (and I hope I have her name right) greeted me at my new car with a smile and ready to walk through the entire owner's manual if I wanted her to. She walked me through everything from adjusting my seatbelt and steering wheel to setting up my Bluetooth. The best part of the whole evening was this...something that shows you what kind of people you'll be working with if you decide to walk in the doors of Scott Clark's Toyota City... I walked into that dealership at 5:30 PM on Monday evening. The dealership closed at 8:00 PM. I didn't walk out the back door to Hillary and my new car until almost 11:00 PM that night. This goes to show you that each and every one of those people I mentioned above not only did everything to make sure I was 100% comfortable with my purchase, they took the time away from their significant others, children and dinner tables to make my first experience at Scott Clark's Toyota a great one! I went to Scott Clark with the intent to purchase a used Tacoma. As I was wondering the lot, I was approached by a salesman; Greg Zmirak. Greg was very helpful in finding the Tacoma I was looking for, and Tacoma. As I was wondering the lot, I was approached by a salesman; Greg Zmirak. Greg was very helpful in finding the Tacoma I was looking for, and he was very informative when it came to safety features and potential payments on the vehicle. After taking the truck out for a test drive, I decided I wanted it. After negotiating the deal, Greg passed me off to the Finance department where I dealt with Cory. Cory was also very helpful and informative, and I left with a new (used) truck and was content with the deal we had made. All of this was on a Friday. The following Wednesday, Cory called me and said I needed to go back to the dealer because there was an issue with the loan, and we needed to find a new way to cover the warranty I wanted. He said the bank decided that they wouldn't loan me the full amount needed in the previous deal, so they are now loaning the amount needed to cover the sticker price, my negative equity from my trade in, and the GAP insurance I purchased, but not including the warranty. Also, because of the mileage of the vehicle, they had to raise my interest rate by 2.6 percent. We worked out a deal in which I would finance the warranty through a Toyota sub company with 0% interest, but it has to be paid off within 18 months. Basically, the higher interest rate raised my payments by $45 per month, and the warranty will cost me $118/month. Total, I will be paying MUCH, MUCH more than the initial deal. $111/month to be exact. I will be paying enough to be driving a brand new vehicle, on a 4 (almost 5) year old truck with 63000 miles. I was presented all of this information and told that there were no other options, and that I could not back out of the deal and give the truck back. Today, I called to voice my complaints, and ask if we could work out a new deal. Every time I call, whoever I speak with says they need to bring the issue to their boss, and that they'll call me back in a few minutes. Each time (about 5 separate calls now) I wait about an hour, and call back, where I am told that the boss will call me back in a few minutes, or that they are busy and will call me back soon. My bottom line complaint is that I am paying enough to be driving a brand new vehicle, and that something needs to be done to lower my payments. If it comes down to it, I don't have a problem returning the truck and shopping elsewhere, but there is a "no cool-off period" clause that states that I cannot return the vehicle for any reason unless the dealer agrees. I feel that I have been screwed here, and they are not doing anything to make this issue better. If I am to pay this much for a vehicle, it shouldn't be a 4 year old truck with 63000 miles on it. UPDATE: Soon after posting this, I received a call from Jimmy Cline, the General Sales Manager at Scott Clark Toyota. We discussed possible options, and decided on getting the Certified Used Toyota warranty (7yr/100,000mi and half the cost of the original warranty) and to also drop the GAP insurance. This all brought my payments down significantly, and I am content with the new deal. I appoligize for any "bad-mouthing" I did in the rating above, as these gentleman went above and beyond to help me get this straightened out. I DO recomend this dealer because they are willing to work with you, even after you have signed the paperwork and are unhappy with the outcome. I bet almost every other dealer out there would have said "Sorry, you have already signed the paperwork" and they would have definitely had the legal right to do so, but they would lose customers. I will definitely shop at Scott Clark again when it's time for a new vehicle. Thanks guys! More

In 2004 I purchased my first Toyota, Highlander. I still have this car and enjoy every minute of it! I'm the type of customer that buys a new car every 3 years, but I'm going on 6 years with my Highlander a have this car and enjoy every minute of it! I'm the type of customer that buys a new car every 3 years, but I'm going on 6 years with my Highlander and a lot of that is due to the customer service I have received from Jeff Middleton. Jeff has worked with me for the last couple of years and has always made me feel comfortable with having a better understanding of my needs. He is someone I feel I can trust. I have been in customer service for over 20 years now and as we all know, if you can build trust with a customer it will along way. I know in the near future I will be purchasing my next car and I can say that Scott Clark Toyota will be the way I go and a large part of that is because of the great customer service and Jeff Middleton.
