I had done my research and knew what I wanted when I contacted RG Gunderson. He provided me with a non-nonsense car purchase. He talked to me about options that were available and not in a "pushy" way. I never felt pressured by his techniques at all. The overall process including the trade-in was excellent. I was originally sent to Scott's Toyota by a friend and will certainly be sure to tell my friends about my experience and recommnedation for doing business at Scott Clark's Toyota. Go see RG! More
Based on our experience with salesman RG Gunderson, I wanted to give this dealer a great rating. We were knowledgeable buyers who had done our homework before deciding to buy a Highlander. We shopped w wanted to give this dealer a great rating. We were knowledgeable buyers who had done our homework before deciding to buy a Highlander. We shopped with 3 in-town dealers and one out-of-town dealer via the internet and decided to buy at Scott Clark, based on RG’s service, even though the final price was slightly higher than another offer. Unlike other sales people, RG showed us the car and features we wanted without trying to push us or manipulate us into buying options we had decided we could not afford. He was professional and businesslike as we reached an agreed price. He delivered exactly the car we requested at exactly the price we requested. He let us know when the car arrived and when the dealer options were installed. When we arrived with check in hand, he had the papers ready for our signatures. We expected to drive away, the happy owners of a new car. Unfortunately the dealer’s sales process and policies left us feeling as we have always felt about buying a new car – hoping it will be years before we have to go through that again. First, we were asked to sit through a presentation of all the dealer’s available other options “while our car was being detailed.” (It had been at the dealer for over 24 hours, and we had made an appointment to pick it up at a time when they were likely to be less busy). Then, even though we were paying for the car without financing, we were asked for our social security numbers and told they had to run a check of our credit rating and a check for identity theft. Even though I had made it clear I did not like extensive sales presentations, we were essentially held hostage in the finance manager’s office for at least 45 minutes while he explained a variety extended warranties and service policies that could be bought for hundreds or thousands of dollars. By the time we left, too tired to even care whether we got the car, I think they had the grace to realize they had pushed us too far, and bought us sandwiches while we took a break. When we finally went outside to get the car and theoretically get training on the tech package we had bought, we met a very nice young woman who took our phones, paired them with the Bluetooth connection and handed us the keys. Now we are home reading the book and hoping it will be at least ten years before we have to do that again. I hope we like the car. We feel like we earned it. More
Kim Harris answered all of my questions; was friendly, attentive and respectful. I appreciated the "no pressure" atmosphere and recognized the genuine helpfulness from Tony Lowder in the finance departmen attentive and respectful. I appreciated the "no pressure" atmosphere and recognized the genuine helpfulness from Tony Lowder in the finance department. "Overall Experience" rated a #4 with me because: the saleman who initially greeted me at the dealership; questioned why I would wish to speak to a woman sales representative ("we don't usually work that way") (this comment was not appropriate). "Price" was rated a #3 because: I was trading in my 2009 Mazda 3i ("pristine condition") and thought I would be headed toward leasing. Not until I reached the finance department at the end of the day did I receive a stronger directive toward buying. After hours of being in the dealership already, I did not have the presence of mind to then think of any possible negotiations with respect to the Prius' price or perhaps a better quote for my Mazda. I was sincerely appreciative of the service agreement covering basic upkeep on the Pruis and this was a major initiative encouraging my purchase. However, looking back at the window sticker list, I see that Scott Clark Toyota "got" my Mazda while I still ended up paying for over $700 worth of customized items along with more than $5,000 over the sticker price. My attempt to find a dealership that wouldn't take advantage of a woman with little car-dealing experience was, unfortunately, misdirected. I question why the extended service agreement wasn't presented as an incentive during my initial discussions with Ms. Harris. Her superiors would send, through her, the figures for sale verses lease along with the fact that negotiations (such as a request for a self-dimming, directional rear view mirror or tinted windows)would not be accepted. I am enjoying the Prius and it will fill the need I was seeking: more gas mileage for the many miles I drive each week. My disappointment with the spin of numbers and the subsequent overage I feel that I paid, has put a seed of suspicion in my mind for future dealings with Scott Clark Toyota. The bottom line: profit, is obviously still their #1 priority instead of "customer service" as their marketing claims. More
We were very pleased with the service that we got and the helpfulness of the sales people. We did not feel pushed to buy the car that we were looking at. We did end up getting the car and have been very ha helpfulness of the sales people. We did not feel pushed to buy the car that we were looking at. This is our 3rd purchase from Scott Clark Toyota. We have had the same sales man for the past 8 years. That says a lot about the care that Scott Clark Toyota not only has for their customers but for th have had the same sales man for the past 8 years. Reggi rate this latest visit as the best experiance I have had ANYWHERE. First,Reggie met me outside the buliding in which I recieved a warm welcome. Reggie took the time to listen and understand my needs before we preceeded to talk about a purchase. Reggie's professional apperance and atittude wre unsurpassed. I was recognized by several of the employee's from the first purchase. It is a good feeling to have your name remembered and greeted with respect and like a friend. Chris Andrews is one of the most professional people I have had contact with. He indeeed must be of the greatest resources you have availiable to you. The following remarks will probably go unattended but should be relayed with the highest admiration. Marty Abernathy is unsurpassed in ability to interact with customers. His personality enables a continual report of the Dealership and its customers. I know of few men who keeps his word no matter the condition after given. Marty kept his word exact without diviation or hesitation. He is one of the most honest men I have had the pleasure of knowing. With my knowlege of his employment....I will always return to Scott Clark. respectfully......JW Johnson More
I gave Scott Clark Toyota a call to discuss a used car I found on their website. Spoke with their Internet Sales Manager about the truck and my trade. I told him that I didn't want to waste my time drivin found on their website. Spoke with their Internet Sales Manager about the truck and my trade. I told him that I didn't want to waste my time driving their, being I lived a little ways away, if they were going to give me "wholesale" value on my trade. I didn't want anything crazy dollar amount for it, just the lowest Kelly Blue Book trade-in value amount. He assured me that the price they offer for trades is KBB. He also assured me that he could get close to the deal I had worked out on a Chevy Truck. So I fill my car up with gas and drive down. Checked out the truck...looked good, and they checked out my car. When it came time to talk business they showed me the most they could give me for my car (which is in very good condition); $4000 less than the price that we discussed on the phone. Then we discussed the price for the truck. They wouldn't budge one cent. The manager said that he was going to have a talk with the Internet Sales Manager, but this does nothing for me. So now I'm a little ticked, I wasted my whole evening driving to this dealer, cost me $25 in gas, and all I got out of it was a headache. Moral of the story is: Never trust a Scott Clark Toyota Dealer.....they will tell you anything to get you into the store, and they have no issues with wasting your time and gas money or ripping you off. They are solely interest in making money off you in every way they can. NEVER GOING BACK!!!!! Here's the kicker, the Chevy truck that I had worked out the great deal with very friendly guys at the Chevy Dealer sold while I was at Scott Clark Toyota. More
I've bought new cars from dealerships, used cars from dealers, and even bought a used car on eBay but I've never experienced the service and actual price that I got at Scott Clark Toyota. They move 500-6 dealers, and even bought a used car on eBay but I've never experienced the service and actual price that I got at Scott Clark Toyota. They move 500-600 cars a month and being a true volume dealer, they can afford to sell cheaper than the competitors. That was my experience here. I would highly recommend you take a look here if looking for a new and/or used car!!!! More
My family and I have bought a few new and used cars over the years. The dealer experiences have generally been positive, but some better than others. This most recent purchase with Scott Clark Toyota was ex the years. The dealer experiences have generally been positive, but some better than others. This most recent purchase with Scott Clark Toyota was exceptionally good. The dealership facility was impressive. The process organized and effective. All the employees we had the pleasure of interacting with from reception to sales through repair were professional, well motivated and knowledgeable. However, most of all, we appreciated and enjoyed dealing with our salesman, Jose Hernandes. He was friendly, focused on our needs and clearly went above and beyond the call of duty to make this sale work to our advantage. If all our experiences over the years had been as good as this one, I suspect we would have purchased new vehicles more often. Thanks to Scott Clark Toyota for turning this sales experience into a pleasure. They have given my confidence in this process a substantial boost. More
