From the moment we walked into the dealership, we felt as if we were being helped by a friend. There was plenty of time given to our indecision and a lot of time went into helping us decide. Other dealerships assumed the decision we'd make rather than taking the time to truly help us compare. We left yesterday feeling sure of our choice but not quite ready to commit. When we arrived today, nothing had changed. We were greeted by a friend, the deal was done and we went through an easy process of purchasing the car. Everyone we met was friendly and seemed to be happy to be there as well as happy to help us. Our budget concerns were heard and understood and we truly appreciated that. I would not hestitate to recommend this dealership to a friend. More
My husband and I have been looking for a car for our daughter for about 6 months. She just got home from NC State, finishing her 3rd year, to be home for the summer. She turns 21 next month and has never gotten her license and never really wanted it. Now, she is getting ready to be a senior in college, living off campus and needed a dependable car. When we arrived on the lot, this energetic gentleman ran up to us yelling high five. I point blank told him why we were there and what my finance capabilities were. We proceeded inside where we filled out the loan application, gave us bottled waters and twizzlers, and walked onto the lot to see what was in our price range. Thinking we found a Honda Civic, we test drove, my daughter was very excited, came inside, only to find out it had already been sold. All good though, because Tim looked like he had a light bulb go off inside his head and took us to the far back to show us a car that had not been put on lot yet. To say the least, my daughter had a fit because it was NC State red!!!!! The Toyota Camry Solara was perfect. Then this is where it got crazy because I had told Tim my budget. He kept going back and forth with us and Dan McColl(finance director) til we finally got it to our budget needs. I can't begin to tell you how awesome Tim and Dan were. I hate going to dealerships because you feel so attacked but this was not the case with Scott Clark Honda of Charlotte. I felt like I was the most important client there no matter what the amount was that we spent. Most salespersons want that 20k and up sale but not Tim, he helped us get what we could afford and was there every step of the way. If customer service, satisfaction, and honesty of dealers are high on your priority list in shopping, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I went to the dealership after a call to inquire about inventory. I immed are high on your priority list in shopping, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I went to the dealership after a call to inquire about inventory. I immediately felt rushed when I walked in the door. Because we were not sure of our choices, we were left standing for several hours to decide. The salesman acted as if he was doing us a favor by showing us the variety of inventory, etc. THAT'S YOUR JOB! Salesman went on to tell me, "I don't have to sell you a car"...really? Why are you clocked in? Because we liked the car (not the team), we decided to move forward with the purchase. Immediately after (the next day), we decided the car was not a good fit and went to inquire about trading the vehicle. Keep in mind, this is apart of Scott Clark's Honda "3-Day Guarantee" (see link below for more information, which is printed on their site http://www.scottclarkhonda.com/aboutus.aspx). When we mentioned we were not satisfied and wanted to trade, we were immediately met with confrontation. We called several times within the three days, took off work to get the deal completed---and literally the salesmen would ignore our calls, pretend to be "at lunch", pretend to be busy, and COMPLETELY avoid us. We made a suprise visit during what they had mentioned was a "busy time", NOBODY WAS IN THE DEALERSHIP. They were all there twiddling their thumbs, eyes down to avoid eye contact. Completely lied to us. Once we were there in person, we were told that they'd do everything they could to complete the deal. Another broken promise. We waited three days to hear from them, but they kept avoiding us. Robby also complained about "how much work" would go into changing the deal. THAT'S YOUR JOB! Completely condescending and they do not deserve ANY business. After getting things settled with our lender, we learned from the analyst that the real reason they were slowing around is that they didn't want to the lose the sell, though there were viable options. Blamed the "run-around" on our lender, when the lender was not even aware of the situation. Told us, "the lender said no", when in fact, the lender mentioned the deals we asked about were NEVER presented. ANOTHER LIE! Good thing we know how to call the lender and not depend on the dealer for communication. Given we have a great relationship with the lender already, we were able to get out of the vehicle and into the car we wanted (through another dealer, of course). Needless to say, this entire dealership is off our list, and we're making sure to spread the word to everyone we meet. Scott Clark Honda is a HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT. We are spreading the word to all friends, family, and associates--DO NOT GO HERE. This, of course, is not a reflection of all Scott Clark dealerships. If you want to buy a car and be treated with respect, go see DJ at Scott Clark Toyota. HE IS AWESOME. Didn't get a chance to sell us a car, but we'd go back to him in a heartbeat! Skip past this dealership and go to Matthews. They are wonderful (and give popcorn and hotdogs during maintenance). :-) Scott Clark Honda-What a waste of time. If you want a Honda, go to HENDRICK! 1) We made contact with Mr Hatfield via internet/email. He was quick to respond to our new Accord query. We let him know exactly what we were looking for, then set a time and date to check it out. We also agreed (within $250) on the price, and only had to discuss trade-in value. 2) We were prepared to sell our Odyssey on our own, but their offer was competitive, and also threw in a few extras to make up some of the difference between what we wanted and what they were giving. 3) Staff were eager to explain and accommodate. If we seemed confused or unsure, they listened to our concerns and further explained details, paperwork, car interior options, etc 4) We had two VERY hungry young children and they were tolerated/treated very well too. 5) By settling on price prior to getting there, I firmly believe we saved 30-60 min and possibly a 120 mile round-trip. Mr. Hatfield was the sole factor for this occurring. More

My radio stopped working so when I pulled into the dealership, I asked the young man (Timbo Black) on the lot if he knew what was wrong with it. He asked me a few questions and found out that my batte dealership, I asked the young man (Timbo Black) on the lot if he knew what was wrong with it. He asked me a few questions and found out that my battery went dead the previous day and immediately showed me where the code was in the glove compartment for resetting it. He was friendly,super helpful and made sure that I understood and knew how to reset it If it happens again. I was back on the road and listening to my radio in a matter of minutes!
