I checked with Maureen (Internet Rep) about pricing for a 2013 Honda Odyssey. She responded quickly with a price that I thought was too good to be true because it was $1k less than any other dealerships arou 2013 Honda Odyssey. I kept asking her if that was truly the price out the door and she continued to reassure me that it was. There is a Honda dealer 2 minutes from my house but I decided to make the drive to Scott Clark Honda to hopefully take advantage of the pricing that I thought was too good to be true. I let Maureen know that I would like as much of the paperwork as possible completed for me when I got there because I didn't want to have to sit around all day long waiting to be finished at the dealership. When I arrived I was quite shocked to be met by Scott (he handles things in the dealership that Maureen sets up online) who was waiting for me and already had the paperwork pre-filled and waiting for me to sign. Once we signed the initial paperwork I was taken to the options desk and then put in the queue to finish in the financing office. At the options desk a very polite lady told me about the accessories we could purchase from the dealer for our new Odyssey. I had looked online for the accessories I wanted ahead of time and printed out the pricing I could order them for. I told her what options I wanted and what price I would be willing to purchase them from Scott Clark Honda for but she politely let me know that the prices I brought from the internet were lower than what they were willing to sell for so I declined to purchase any accessories. She didn't try to push me at all to purchase accessories directly from them and was very easy to work with. The next step in the process was waiting for the finance office. That took about 45 minutes for a finance rep to pick up my folder but once I made it in the office the process was very straight forward and there were no high pressure tactics to try and coerce me into purchasing extended warranty coverage. Ashley (I believe that was her name), told me the details of the extended warranty they offered, I politely declined, and we moved forward with getting the rest of the paperwork signed without her trying to pressure me at all. For the reasons above, I was very impressed with the Scott Clark Honda dealer in Charlotte and would most definitely consider using them again for any future Honda vehicle purchases. BTW, if you are wondering why there is no information in the review about me looking at the vehicle to decide what we wanted, it is because we were previous Odyssey owners and were just replacing a 2002 model and we already knew exactly what model / color we wanted. When arriving at Scott Clark Honda, my wife and I were greeted by Arnie. He was such a pleasure to work with and seemed to always have our best interests in mind. Overall I had a good experience. The only negative I had was at pick-up. I waited in the waiting area for 30mins until a young lady asked me to follow her. I then was sent back to the waiting area and sat for 20 mins until the finance man asked me into his office to close the deal. At last. I had to sit there reading a book for 45 mins waiting to complete 5 mins worth of paperwork. All the personnel were professional and nice to deal with, but the wait was just lousy and uncalled for. If I get any junk mail as a result of voluntarily doing this critique, I will go postal. More
I have been leasing a Honda civic, and was nearing the end of my contract. From the moment I got there I felt very comfortable. In the past car dealerships have not been my favorite place, but he was extremely knowledgeable and very conscious of my budget. I have never purchased a car on my own before and was nervous about, it but after helping me pick out my new 2013 honda civic he referred me to the finance director. He was so helpful and gave me a great monthly plan and I couldn't be happier! My mom is a single mom and the entire experience was vey overwhelming to her so he and Tim were there to make sure she was comfortable with all the decisions and gave us all the time we needed! After finalizing with them, the sweetest blonde girl helped me figure out all the new technology In my car! I'm not tech savvy at all so that was a huge help to me. Over all, I've never had such a good experience in customer service, and I will be recommending Tim Fox and his coworkers to all of my friends and family! Ashley More
