My 1-year old Ascent battery failed 3 times in 4 months, twice in two days. The dealership took me on a next day no appointment basis. The battery was replaced under warranty in about 1 1/2 hours. Carlos Sanchez was kind and knowledgable and not your typical pushy sales guy. He wanted to make sure I was happy and taken care of. He accommodated my every request with pleasure. Eli Garcia was patient as we played with all the numbers with the different cars I was considering, making sure that once we went to the finance department with Richard Piasecki, that it would be smooth with no surprises.And it was! He made sure my family and I are safe for years to come with a couple of smart additions to protect our investment. I enjoyed working with him a relating about solutions to the climate crisis, science and engineering! He has some great solutions- someone go talk to him! My family and I are thrilled with the purchase and looking forward to the adventures we will have together in our new Subaru Forester. We love it! More
They got one star for two main reasons. I had been in touch with the salesman before I called the evening before and let the salesman know I would be there the next morning. When I got there the next morning the price had gone up to $21887. I took it anyway but should have walked away at that point. I then had to wait almost a hour for the finance man who did not have anyone in his office. Never went over anything with me other than trying to sell me some maintenance policies. Which I was adamant that I did NOT want. Never got a bill of sale till two weeks later did I receive a copy of the bill of sale after I asked for one. And on the bill of sale I was charged $430 for a key replacement policy and $521 for a Allstate Tire & Wheel policy. When I questioned the finance man he told me I didn't pay for them even though it was clear I did. Then he said well your payments are the same as they were without them. Yes he was right because it added more time on my loan. After working with Janet Brush I was able to get a refund for the charges. Also had to take the car back to get several items fixed that should have been done before the car was put out for sale. And Schumacher charged $995 Predelivery Service Charge for a used vehicle. More
This Safety recall ended up being a two day effort. Thanks to Steven Morrone/ My Service Advisor he ensured my total satisfaction. Prior to and after leaving the dealership on day one, I was experiencing difficulty in starting my Outback. I called and spoke with Steven, he checked with the Foreman in charge of replacing my safety recalled fuel pump, and I was informed that it may take some driving time before this issue and the smell of gasoline resolves itself. On day two, the issue remained and I called Steven. He asked me to bring the vehicle in on Saturday, he would have a loaner vehicle ready and technicians would checkout my vehicle either on Saturday of Monday. I did as asked and dropped the vehicle off and to my surprise, I received a call early that afternoon that My Car was ready for pickup. The troubleshooting found the problem to be the battery. Everything now appears to be Normal and I want to Thank The Great Technical Team at Schumacher Subaru and especially Mr Steven Morrone for making a difference. Welcome Aboard Steven and Happy Holidays to The Professionals at this very impressive dealership. More
