People seem to be more motivated to review and post bad experiences than good. Marketing firms, Public Relations (PR) firms and businesses know this to be a true. Wherever you go you'll see more sissies and mentally libertarded folks xxxx'n in the wind than people singing praises. My experience with Schumacher (GMC BUICK location) relates to their used vehicles and personnel. Mr Dan Ayers and Michael Shockley were my primary contact figures and were beside me every step of the process. There were 3 others, two of which where in the financial department (sorry, I can't recall the names off hand). I first contacted Schumacher GMC through the Carfax app regarding a used (extremely low miles) 2017 Ram 1500 4x4 SLT. The internet sales manager responded within exceptional time and confirmed the vehicle was still in their possession. I made arrangements for an appointment the following day (on Saturday) and was told that Mr Dan Ayers will be the one I first contact. I made the 140 mile drive and arrived at the appointed time (9am). I was overly impressed with the the appearance of the the lot. It's well organized and incredibly spotless from the used vehicles on the lot right down to the cobblestone style parking lot. I was greeted professionally and yet friendly; not like some long lost pal, the way most dealers behave. Mr Ayers had been previously briefed on my visit and was prepared. He assigned Michael Shockley to assist me further in showing vehicle and arranging the test drive. There however were two snags. One of em had do deal with me and took time. However the other was due to the dealership. This is both the incredibly stupid part (negative undertone) and yet astounding (positive overtone). Mr Shockley excused himself to retrieve the truck and bring it up front. He came back about 20 minutes latter, empty handed, incredibly embarrassed and concerned about his. We went back inside and the first words out of his mouth were "I know you drove a very long ways, Buuuut". It was explained that an employee had signed out the vehicle for showcasing and was further north (I learned latter on my own that it was 20 minutes further north) and they could not get ahold of him as he wasn't answering his phone. Now here's the astounding part, Mr Shockley explained to me that if they couldn't get the guy to return vehicle in an appropriate time frame, that he would personally bring the vehicle to my home 140 miles away, just to show it. Wow! Well the employee did eventually call back 2 hours latter (here's the negative undertone). He was playing golf and on the 8th hole or something. But nobody could get him to commit a time frame of when he'd bring it back. Well my finger is pointing at that particular employee and saying in my head (how rude and disrespectful). I told Mr Shockley who, along with practically everyone else, was more than embarrassed, about my contempt for the employees handling of things. I further explained that if the vehicle looks and preforms as it was presented on carfax (all 26 pictures) I'd buy it. So to kill time while we waited for the employee to return said vehicle, we did the pre-approval, finance thing. It took awhile because there was a snag on my end, but the outstanding people in the financial department found a way to overcome and rectify. 3 and a half hours latter the vehicle shows up. 3 and a half hours from a golf course 20 minutes away. No doubt that the employee had to finish a full round of golf first. In his mind it's apparent that company needs and customers come 2 verses fixing his handicap with boys, and lunch at the club house. In my mind, when you have a company vehicle your supposed to be show casing but using it for personal use, then learning a customer had made previous arrangements for see the vehicle at 9am, YOU EITHER HAVE IT THERE ALREADY OR YOU DROP WHAT YOUR DOING AND GET IT THERE! Not 6 and a half hours after the appointment. He embarrassed all his coworkers, the company and seriously offended me by finishing his golf game first. It's reprehensible behavior in my book. But I do not want one employees bad choices to reflect on Schumacher Buick GMC. That would not be fair at all. There just needs to change or better communications somewhere and knowing the embarrassment the others felt, I don't have to bring the issue up. They'll definitely handle it and make the appropriate procedural change(sl The employees at this location were outstanding. They demonstrated their willingness to bend over backwards to rectify the embarrassing situation. The actually did bend over backwards in many respects. They were literally jumping through hoops with concerns (that I might walk away?). Just imagine how willing they were to rectify things to offer to bring the truck 140 miles away just to show it to me. The folks in the financial department also bent over backwards to rectify my issue in order get me in the truck, at the price I wanted and the terms I needed. I cannot say one bad thing about these people or the dealership. Nothing but praise More

In contrast the Service Advisor upon checking in my car for service wouldn't change a bad Driver's Side Wiper under Warranty due to the mileage on the vehicle. Not taking into consideration that it was the 1st time in for service since I took delivery. The White Shirted Tall person MADE IT HAPPEN to my expectations....Thank You! More
