After $2,100 repair, I made it 3 miles before breaking down! I waited a month for an appointment. Brought it in and no appointment in the books, but since the car was smoking they agreed to take it in. Was pro I waited a month for an appointment. Brought it in and no appointment in the books, but since the car was smoking they agreed to take it in. Was promised a loaner, no loaner! Asked them to call me with updates, so they called my mother. New radiator, new water pump, o rings, and new water pump. Drove it 3 miles before it over heated! Car towed back to dealer. They explained that at 140,000 miles you can expect to replace the engine, suspension, transmission, timing belt (twice!) head gasket, serpentine belt, and then the normal maintenance (brakes, tires, etc.). Don't take your car here. If you can get in without waiting a month for an appointment, they certainly can't fix it and their customer services is non-existent. Go somewhere else! Trust me, this place isn't worth it. More

Initially, we thought about getting a 4-wheel alignment but they wanted $170, when I could get it done at another franchised service station for $69; so I canceled that decision. Then they called me 3 hours later and said that I needed a brake flush, a differential flush and engine air filter replacement and cabin air filter replacement, which came to $450 w/ a $50 coupon, so $400. I temporarily agreed to getting these recommended things done but within 5 minutes, I called them right back to cancel the brake flush because, again, that franchised service station quoted me $49.99 compared to Schomp Subaru quoting me $150. However, when I got there to pick up my car, after being told the work order was completed, they had done the brake flush anyway. My bill was $435 w/ the brake flush, so they are the classic dealer scheisty rip off now. Be careful and do your homework BEFORE saying yes to that follow-up scheisty phone call re: more over-priced additional work orders!! More

Then at 41K I had a bad wheel bearing that was replaced in late April 2019. Schomp inspected the other wheel bearings and they said they were fine. A week later I noticed some noise coming from the front driver side and to me it sounds like a bad wheel bearing. I called them to get my Forester seen again but they wouldn't see me till June. I took it to a different dealer and the first thing they noticed is one of the lug nuts is missing (Locking Nut). Apparently Schomp didn't tighten the nuts properly. This is some of the most shoddy work I have ever seen. This situation endangered me, my family and the public. So here is what is going to happen. I'm towing the car to Schomp, where they will give me a loaner car. They will fix the car for free, including any damaged parts due to their unconscionable mistake. More
First time oil change turns into a nightmare So first off the dealership went from Shortline to Schomp. I had a first time oil change on a new Subaru outback. I had a sticker on the car sayin So first off the dealership went from Shortline to Schomp. I had a first time oil change on a new Subaru outback. I had a sticker on the car saying I have a FREE first time oil change. I told the Service person. I gave my phone number since it was different than what was on file. I needed an oil change and two recalls. I dropped off my car and got a shuttle to work. I got a call from my wife saying the car was done. THEY CALLED the wrong number. So I called and said that I need a shuttle ride back. They transferred me to the driver. He said he had other first, this was 3pm. So I waited and waited. At 4:58pm I called and ask for the shuttle driver. they transferred me again. Went to voice mail. I left a voice mail. Waited. Called back again and asked for the number of the shuttle driver. Called 3 times waiting 15 min between. Just got a voice mail. Called service and asked when does the Shuttle service stop? Response was I don't know. then she asked and said 5pm. I told her that I called at 3pm and now it is closer to 6pm and no word from the shuttle. Now her response was to call in the morning. I told her "I AM AT WORK" what do you want me to do. Then her suggestion was to UBER over. My question was who was going to pay for that? She got someone online and they said they would pay for the trip fee. I got there and got a bill for $79+ for an FREE oil change. So they did not write it up as free. They took that off then I asked about the Uber fee? they said they could not. They took my name and said their manager would call me tomorrow. My car was pulled up behind 3 other cars and I asked how am I going to get out? They had to pull the other cars out. The DID NOT provide a car wash. Temp was warm that day. The next day I did not get a call back from the manager until later in the afternoon. He was not very caring about the service I received. So I WILL NEVER take it back to SCHOMP Subaru ever again. No reason to give them a second chance when they don't seem to care about the first time. I hope this helps in your choices. More
Poor customer service to say the least Took our Subaru to this dealership when it was Shortline Subaru and had really good service. The last two service visits were under the new Schomp ow Took our Subaru to this dealership when it was Shortline Subaru and had really good service. The last two service visits were under the new Schomp ownership and the service was pathetic. I would give them zero stars if possible. Made an appointment for a Friday morning to have some software recall work done along with an oil change and were told the car would be ready late in the afternoon. After not hearing anything from the service department all day and since it was nearing 5:00 pm, we called. Unfortunately, the service department never answered the phone after several attempts. We finally called the sales department since we new they'd answer the phone. The sales associate tracked down information on our vehicle and told us that no work had been started and that they'd need to keep the car over the weekend. Seriously? You can't perform a software update and oil change after we scheduled an appointment? And you can't at least finish it the next day? What good is an appointment when they don't even work on the car for at least 2 days after the appointment time? The service department called back on Monday and said they've been busy and would try to get to the car that day. Asked the service manager what good an appointment does and were told that all the appointment does is set a time to see the service writer, it doesn't mean your car will be worked on at that time, you have to go in line with everyone else, even people who just walk in. When the car was finally done, there were no apologies for keeping the car, no apologies for not returning calls, we were charged for what was supposed to be a free oil change (from a previous coupon) and the car was a filthy mess. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced at any car dealer in 30 years of having cars serviced. Definitely not going back to this place again. More

Could have used a little help Shortline gave great service last time I used them 2 years ago. Since then they are under new ownership I would advise finding a new place to get you Shortline gave great service last time I used them 2 years ago. Since then they are under new ownership I would advise finding a new place to get your car serviced. My 14 wrx is firing off warning lights that the ABS and traction control system is out. I take my baby to daycare in it and would obviously like this fixed ASAP. Well first appoint is 3 weeks out and they refuse to get it in earlier unless the engine light is on also. Then I ask for a loaner since I have a baby and nope no loaner. But they have shuttle service if your within 7 miles, okay then. Oops, I am 7.1 miles and they won't take me home. So I would find another dealer if I were you! More
