I purchased my car about a year ago and had several problems with the sale - pushy salesman that I caught in a lie about how long the sale would continue, mistake on paperwork resulted in two trips bac problems with the sale - pushy salesman that I caught in a lie about how long the sale would continue, mistake on paperwork resulted in two trips back to dealership - 1st trip, left work early to correct paperwork and after driving from downtown to Littleton, was told that paperwork was locked up and person w/ the key was out of office and 2nd trip they neglected to tell me I actually wasn't needed to correct the mistake so TWO wasted trips that had me leaving my office early for nothing. Also received a doctored invoice that had white-out and a higher price written in pen over the lower correct price for an accessory that had to be added. After getting fed up with Fred, sales manager worked with me and he had major attitude and was rude. Also, the finance dept. tried to sell me the extended warranty by telling me how many parts/components in the car were outsourced and they couldn't guarantee the quality. Made me feel like I was buying a piece of junk BRAND NEW car. Was very disappointed because I bought my first car there from Phil Fornaro and had a WONDERFUL experience and got my mom, my uncle, my best friend, her brother, and their parents all to buy Hondas at Ralph Schomp. This dealership is not nearly the same as it was 15 years ago. I will not buy my next car from here. Horrid experience. I decided to write this after hearing that my friend and her husband who bought TWO cars at the same time had the unfortunate experience of working with Fred and gave him poor ratings after the sale and he followed up with her by calling and telling her off and name calling. TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP! Very disappointed. More
I stopped in for routine maintenance. The employee who greated me did so quickly and was very professional and friendly. She told me what needed to be done and explained they were down a worker so it may greated me did so quickly and was very professional and friendly. She told me what needed to be done and explained they were down a worker so it may take some time to complete my service. I settled in expecting to be there a couple of hours. In about one hour she came and told me it was done. She answered my questions and was very helpful and told me that they had washed my car on top of it. Obviously I would like the service to be cheaper but understand that they are competative. I would recommend this dealership for both purchase of a vehicle and service. More
Re-call software update for 2010 CRV's. and excessive tire wear on original tires. Dealer has made an attempt to credit the tire wear problem. I am still mad that Honda America refuses to acknowledge it tire wear on original tires. Dealer has made an attempt to credit the tire wear problem. At 48,000 miles the AC "exploded" on my CRV. I was told the best case scenario would be $1800 to fix and the worst case would be around $3400. I was, of course, more than a little shocked! It tur was told the best case scenario would be $1800 to fix and the worst case would be around $3400. I was, of course, more than a little shocked! It turned out that mine was the worst case. I am a care giver for my 89 year old father and we are both on fixed and limited incomes. I had purchased the CRV because my son has such good luck with his and a brother-in-law also said that Honda vehicles really held their value. This was to be the car that I would be able to drive for years. (As a side note, I have a Great Dane, a father who needs a wheel chair or walker and I also haul canopies and goods to craft fairs. My CRV is so perfect for all my needs. My son has since purchased a 2009 CRV and now has a 2011 CRV and my 2004 has more room!) I did a little research and discovered that the AC problem seems to be common in CRV's. I then called Honda America and explained my plight. They contacted your dealership and my final bill was a little over $800. Still not great but much more manageable. I have always serviced my car at Ralph Schomp and Martin has always been my "service guy". He is courteous, friendly and I can get a straight answer from him. When I win the Powerball, I will probably keep my CRV because I love my workhorse but you can be sure I will come and talk to you all about a BMW convertible - unless Honda comes out with some sporty two seater convertible!! My experience at Ralph Schomp was wonderful. It was my first time buying a car and I was really nervous. I knew that even with the help of my mom my naiveté would be apparent. Mike Deising was so kind, p first time buying a car and I was really nervous. I knew that even with the help of my mom my naiveté would be apparent. Mike Deising was so kind, patient and helpful it took all my worry away. Had it not been for Mike I am not sure I would have been ready to make a purchase so quickly. He was great! The best thing about it was that I have worked around sales before and he was unlike like anyone I had ever dealt with. He was not pushy or forward. He let me dictate the speed of the process and I felt absolutely no pressure. At all times he made sure I understood everything -- whether it be about the cars functions or any of my package options. He was also just as excited as I was when I got approved—which made the whole process fun. If anyone I know ever wants to buy a car I will definitely recommend Mike. You are lucky to have someone who is so passionate about finding people their dream car with an equally fantastic experience! If you have any way to recognize your employees for a job well done I feel Mike is a more then worthy candidate. More
The only thing that is somewhat annoying is that there is never anyone around when I drop off my car for service the next day. Several people told me that "someone will be right with you", but why isn't thi never anyone around when I drop off my car for service the next day. Several people told me that "someone will be right with you", but why isn't this person in the area, especially since I made an appointment? Alli is always great to work with and I appreciate her being informative and friendly. I was a Kuni customer but after they lied to me a couple of times I found Ralph Schomp Honda. Hooray for Kuni! I loved the way the sales person wasn't pushy. Was very upfront and informative about the car. It wasn't as long of a process as I thought. Went very smooth. Customer service - Kyle was average, seemed knowledgeable but I had to ask all the questions rather than him sharing information that may have helped me out in my car finding/purchasing experience. I am only but I had to ask all the questions rather than him sharing information that may have helped me out in my car finding/purchasing experience. I am only 22 and this is my first car purchase without mom and dad being here to make sure I ask all the right questions. We only discussed the car I came in to look at and he did not offer to look at any other cars similar to the impreza, majority of the other dealerships I looked at would do this. Quality of work - not sure what you mean by this. Kyle worked fast to sell the car to me. I had told him I was tired of looking at cars and just wanted to find the right one. I have been looking for quite a while and it had been a long day. I kind of wish I would have considered the car for a night before signing papers, but I am trying to my positive about my decision. The car needed a paint fix and it was completed by the next day so that was nice, except I still see a paint chip where some of the tape had been so maybe they worked too fast. Whoever cleaned the car missed the little slots in the doors, I cleaned them out myself. Friendlyness - Kyle is a great people person. We had a great talk while test driving the car. From what I could tell he seems like an honest guy and loves working at Schomp. Overall experience - I have had other salesmen I prefer more. Only because they put no pressure on me to buy a car that same day. They were helpful in freely providing information about cars I came to look at and similar cars I may like - without me having to ask. They know more about what a customer would need/want to know about cars and they should know that a 22 year old girl probably won't know all the right questions to ask. I am happy that the car has brand new tires. It would have been nice to have two keys - that is a real downside to the car. I am happy there are floor mats. Price - I bought the car at the listed price $15.6 with 45K miles and from what I could tell by comparing it to all the other 2008 Imprezas, it was one of the better deals. KBB listed the car in excellent condition at 16.7K and the car in not in that condition so 15.6K is good. I was able to get the amount I wanted for my trade-in, 2001 Nissan Xterra, which I was happy about. More
Buying a car on my own was a new experience for me, and being able to do so without feeling "pushed" into making a purchase was appreciated. I enjoyed being able to look through the used cars and then talk being able to do so without feeling "pushed" into making a purchase was appreciated. I enjoyed being able to look through the used cars and then talk with Karl as to what I was interested in driving and learning more about the vehicle. My thanks to Karl! Bernice ' More
