These guys are good - but fairly expensive. They don't necessarily want to see me come in which is ironic given how much the BMW free service is advertised. They missed that a piece of inside trim had fa necessarily want to see me come in which is ironic given how much the BMW free service is advertised. They missed that a piece of inside trim had fallen off of my rain sensor (on a 2007 5-Series!!) which I had to point out to them. Overall - they did get my car fixed sooner than promised - but they seem a bit too busy much of the time. Once my car is not under warranty I would take it to my local mechanic. More
I was charge 1.5 hours of labor to diagnose and replace a blown fuse. I am not a master mechanic, but do know to check the simple things first and was a little disgruntled. When I asked the service manager blown fuse. I am not a master mechanic, but do know to check the simple things first and was a little disgruntled. When I asked the service manager if this was a common problem he said no. The next day the fuse blew again. The service manager said I would be billed labor to further isolate the trouble. Instead of going back to Schomp, I took the car to my local BMW service Autoworks. He quickly told me that there was a Service Bulletin that described my problem exactly. Since my car is under Certified Pre Owned Warantee, I call Schomp back. They said that all of their mechanics go home at 3:00 p.m. and he couldn't confirm the problem and said my mechanic had no right to see BMW Service Bulletins. Long Story Short, don't use Schomp! They are rip offs. More
Do not ever have your BMW serviced at Ralph Schomp. On three separate occassions I've left the dealership and have had new and more expensive problems with my car within 48 hours after leaving the dealers three separate occassions I've left the dealership and have had new and more expensive problems with my car within 48 hours after leaving the dealership. Also, on my last visit I was promised a loaner vehicle. When I arrived they said that they didn't have my loander but could put me on the shuttle, only to realize that the shuttle didn't normally service my part of town on that day. I wasted 2 hours getting to work. Two of the negative service experiences have involved Brian as my service manager. More

My friends purchased a new BMW 3-series from this dealer which started the most terrible consumer experience they've ever experienced. The car began breaking down almost immediately, which was bad enough, which started the most terrible consumer experience they've ever experienced. The car began breaking down almost immediately, which was bad enough, but the dealer response was the worst part. The dealer service center repeatedly either denied that anything was wrong (with a car that had to be towed numerous times in the first few months) or claimed that everything was fixed. My friends had to literally beg for loaner cars, for towing, for return phone calls and for a serious diagnostic investigation. Unbelievably, a registered letter to the owner of the dealer at the owner's home address went unanswered! The message was clear: "We have your money, now get lost!" My friends had to force BMW North America to take the car back after 6 months of continual break-downs and after an entire month in the repair facility. Bad customer service on a mind boggling level. Horrible customer service - I had problems with them on both the sales side of things as well as the service side. I special ordered a brand new convertible - they tried to change the contract at the time both the sales side of things as well as the service side. I special ordered a brand new convertible - they tried to change the contract at the time of delivery to make more money / also the options I ordered were incorrect. The car was also pathetic. It had to be towed into the shop because of electrical / computer problems 4 times and overall required service calls 7 times until I was able to get rid of the car. The dealership would do absolutely nothing to help. Once the car left their lot - they didn't want anything to do with it. Stay away! More
