September 2022, I bought a 2018 Kia Optima with 52,000 miles for $20,000 (which was the highest market value of an issue-free/worry-free 18 KIA Optima w/52k miles) and in the first two weeks of owning the vehicle my wife told me that the engine was making a noise. Because I am busy, I did not get to check the vehicle for another week and decided to check the oil which was barely visible on the dipstick. I checked the oil again and it was low enough to where no oil was visible on the dipstick. I called Scholfield Honda and told them about the issue and they said to bring it in. The service writer wanted to charge me $166 to confirm what I was telling them. I had to get a manager involved to waive the $166. They kept my car for the majority of the day only to return my car and confirm it was burning oil. I asked what to do with the vehicle and they said, "take it to Kia". I took the car to a Kia dealership and was instructed to drive the car 1k miles for an oil consumption test. Scholfield provides an unlimited mile powertrain warranty but did not offer to work on my car, conduct an oil consumption test or to reach out to Kia for an engine replacement. Because Scholfield sent me on my way, I had to deal with the Kia dealership with the car, have them do the work and get the warranty approved through Kia USA. My new car sat at Kia, with a 60 day tag, longer than we drove it. So, for the first two weeks of owning our new car the engine was shot and making noises. Scholfield would not honor any warranty and told me to take it to Kia because it still had a factory warranty. Kia evaluated the engine and said it would need to be replaced. Our new car sat at the dealership for 37 days until the engine was replaced. During the time my vehicle was getting a new engine, I learned my car was from an auction from the used car sales manager. Had I known this car was from an auction I would have never bought it, I would pass onto the next one. I asked Scholfield for a different car, for a cash value return of my car (they said my car was worth $13,000, at auction, and could probably do $16,500) I asked for the $1500 I had to pay for a rental car while my car was getting a new engine. Scholfield rented and charged me for a rental car. I posted a review about this experience before and a representative from Scholfield called me about it. I removed the review hoping Mr. Cox would settle with me on this matter. No such luck, here it is March 30, 2023 and I still have the Kia, $1500 debt on my credit card and no resolve. SO, my review is back and I hope customers can make an informative decision before buying a car from Schlofield Honda. The Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission, BBB or even Small Claims Court may help customers with similar situations with any dealerships. This situation involves: a vehicle with a warranty (meeting Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act), down vehicle more than 30 days and deceptive business practices customers need to be aware of. Scholfield Honda reads every review and from my experience, not sure what they care more about here. More

I wish I could give less than 1 star. I took my car in to get a routine oil change done last week and could not have had a worse experience. I took my car into this dealership thinking that they would be a trusted provider, and I was looking for a new place to get serviced in a new town. First, after specifically noting regular oil change on my booking, they filled my car with synthetic oil (a more expensive type that my car does not need). When I asked them why they did that, they told me first that "that is just what my car took" and then when I told them I have NEVER put synthetic oil in my vehicle, they "must not have seen my note". After this, they came back out with over $1200 of recommended services that "required immediate attention". This included a brand-new battery, front and rear brakes, filters, and fluids. Mind you, I had just gotten my car serviced less than 90 days ago, with my trusted service provider back home, who did not mention any of these things as a concern. I felt uneasy and unsure about this situation, and even though I would absolutely service my car if it needed it, something about it felt wrong. So I went to someone my coworker trusts to get a second opinion, and after inspecting my car they concluded NOTHING WAS WRONG. They genuinely could not figure out why I was being quoted with the services at the other dealership and said they would feel completely safe driving my car, with no need for a new battery/brakes/fluids/filters/etc. I would avoid going to Schofield Honda West at every single cost, especially if you are young, alone, or female. “We charge MSRP plus our protection package of $2455 as well as a out of state mark up of $2000 if you registering it outside of Kansas. “This was the response I got from your dealership. It’s really sad t well as a out of state mark up of $2000 if you registering it outside of Kansas. “This was the response I got from your dealership. It’s really sad that your pricing is horrible. Not only are you making people wait for up to 3 months for a car but then tack on $4500 in charges over msrp. Poor customer service shame on you guys for gouging customers in this economy. I don’t think I’ve ever had a dealer try to discourage potential customers from buying a car. Also it asked for an employee’s name on this survey it’s not the sales persons fault for pricing that’s management fault. More

Not only did he provide us with the vehicle we were looking for he seemed to be a generally good guy! Although we did not purchase the vehicle from this dealership, I wanted to put in a good word for Lupe and would suggest that whenever anyone is looking for a vehicle they ask to speak to Lupe. He knows what he's talking about and will answer all your questions about the vehicle in a kind, non-assuming way. Great job Lupe! More

Multiple strikes with this dealer. Don't go here. They will be happy to sell you a car for sticker and try to sell you multiple additional packages and warranties. Nitro Fill was a horiffic joke. I took my car to Scholfield 3 or 4 times and eventually had to go somewhere else to have the problem diagnosed and resolved. The dealer referred me to an 800 number and became argumentative when I ask if I could just come in and purchase a tire myself. You have to deal with the warranty company directly. It took multiple phone calls and I evntually just paid for the tire out of my pocket.... at Firestone. My latest and final trip to the shop was for an oil change and rotation. I failed to make an appointment and was turned away for service because it was inconvenient for the shop at 4pm. I barely got the reason for my visit out and was cut off. Funny, I didn't have to make an appointment the previous two times. I've bought two cars here. Wow !!!! I bought locally for service because I drive many miles each month and have a busy schedule. I talked to management who blamed me and said if I hadn't cut off the service guy he might have got me in at their other location across town. It was ok for me to take 30 minutes to drive across town so they could still pocket the costly service. I had someone follow me to drop the car at the East location. Nightmare!! I went to Jiffy Lube and was finished 20 minutes after I pulled in. I would have preferred Honda certified service. Maintenance is extremely important and needs to be timely and reliable.... I have found that this dealer is neither. Draw your own conclusions. More

They were very friendly, h This was my first experience at the Scholfield Honda dealership and I was very impressed with the employees and management. They were very friendly, helpful and non-pushy. Our salesman, Chris Kurth, was very informative and understanding of our needs from start to finish during the trade of our vehicle. He spent time showing us what our new car could do and how each of the features worked. He was a real peach to work with and made the trading process a pleasant experience! I would encourage others looking for a new car to go to Scholfield Honda. They are a nice group of people, selling a great brand of car! Definitely a positive experience. Thumbs up here! More
