Angie went out of her way to help us purchase our new to us car. We had shopped many other dealerships and worked with other salespersons that you felt weren't giving you all the information you were aski us car. My brother took time out of his day to help me and drive my car to Schimmers for an oil change today. I chose to have him drive the 63 miles for this because I had been treated so well when I bought the car my car to Schimmers for an oil change today. I chose to have him drive the 63 miles for this because I had been treated so well when I bought the car there, I wanted to be sure my car got the best service again. Unfortunately that ended up not being the case. After having paid for the service and being told the car was ready he went out to the vehicle and started it. Almost immediately he was overwhelmed by a smell of something hot and quickly the cabin on the car began filling with smoke. He exited the car and looked under the hood. He quickly discovered there was oil spilled all over the engine. He returned to customer service and Chelsea told him there was nothing she could do for an hour because all the mechanics were at lunch. No one even went to check on the car to ensure that it was safe to even sit for an hour. The mechanics returned an hour later and in 10 minutes time declared the car clean and safe. When Chelsea handed the keys over again there was no apology for the poor job by the mechanic...No compensation for almost catching my car on fire. Nothing! He ended up having to drive the car 63 miles home smelling of burnt oil. If you value your vehicle AT ALL don't take it to Schimmers in Peru for service. More

Fantastic experience. We have had troubles dealing with other dealerships. Promises and lies just to get us into there lots to try to sell us something we didn't want. I talked with Garrett on the phone on Wednesday evening, near closing time, about a vehicle we saw on there website. The next day, Thursday, after talking with, texting, and emailing Garrett, Tracy, and Jim I felt comfortable and confident in this dealership. By early Thursday afternoon I received a call from Garrett saying the deal is done and to schedule a test drive and sign paperwork. On Friday afternoon I was at the dealership over an hour drive away. We were nervous expecting this to end up like other dealerships. We were immediately shown the vehicle and given the keys for a test drive. When we got back I was finished signing the paperwork in about 25 minutes. Jim even went the extra mile to make an extra phone call which lowered our interest rate a full percentage point. I will recommend Schimmer Ford to anyone looking for a vehicle and Shimmer Ford will be my go to dealership in the future. More
