LES Johnson made my used car buying experience fantastic!!!! I have been in the market for a used vehicle for over 6 months. I have been to at least 10 New/Used car dealers in the St. Louis and Alton Ill.. , th I have been in the market for a used vehicle for over 6 months. I have been to at least 10 New/Used car dealers in the St. Louis and Alton Ill.. , this included some of the larger dealers, small dealers, and several dealers that "specialize" in assisting individuals with poor credit. Lets just say I am in a "rebuilding" phase with my credit. Not only was Les very pleasant on the phone from the first time I talked to him, but meeting him in person was like meeting an old friend who truly wanted to do everything possible to assist me with purchasing a newer used vehicle. Les accomplished what no other dealer could or would do for me!. In no time at all, I had great financing in place and I was driving off the lot with a wonderful newer used vehicle despite my credit situation. Why I won't buy a Ford I went to McMahon Ford a couple weeks ago (the Kingshighway location) at 8:12am; I was allowed to wait. I was a bit despondent because my 2006 Pontia I went to McMahon Ford a couple weeks ago (the Kingshighway location) at 8:12am; I was allowed to wait. I was a bit despondent because my 2006 Pontiac had to be given up (oil pressure issue; pistons work was needed and I couldn't afford it, so it was time to get a newer car). I was told I could wait since the salesmen would be there at 8:30am. The time came and went. No salesman appeared. By 9am I thought, "This must be what they do when they don't want to sell you a car." So I got up and left. The receptionist simply said, "Have a nice day." She offered no apology. I went down the street where I met friendly, helpful people at Don Brown Chevrolet. Not only did they give me a nice amount for the Pontiac as a trade-in, I got a 2015 pre-certified Impala with a great warranty. For that reason, I won't ever go to McMahon Ford again... More
