Not the same good old Scherer Mazda I knew and loved Unfortunately my recent purchase from Scherer Mazda was not what I expected based on my previous experience with this dealership. Not even counting all the unnecessary theatrics from sales people during the price negotiation on a used car, what I was most shocked by is their complete disregard for the ongoing pandemic, which is infecting and killing unprecedented number of people in our country! There were NO masks, NO social distancing, not even hand sanitizers placed in accessible locations - the business went as usual... Such carelessness and ignorance not only creates a danger for all the people who work in the dealership, but also is a potential hub for unknowingly aiding the spread of infection within our community! I truly hope that after reading this review the dealership will make changes to their day-to-day operations and pay more attention to simple public safety measures already adopted by majority of other Peoria businesses. The post sale experience is also not the greatest. After over 2 weeks, there was still no follow-up on locking lug nuts they owed me as the condition of sale; few of my calls were never returned, and when eventually I got hold of the sales consultant who sold me the car, I was told that they are on backorder and he has no idea when they will arrive, "as they are coming from Japan". The lug nuts? Really?! Anyway, to summarize: the car is great, the experience of buying it wasn't. More
